Glass, not Windex please!

There was one concoction using "ammonia" that a neighbor used that was really great! However I don't allow "Ammonia" in my house under any circumstances, the stuff is just plain to dam dangerous.

Well, it is a good thing you got rid of the Windex then.

The cleaning power of Windex (or lack off) is mostly due to its high concentration of Ammonia.

Does anyone use straight water? I tried it once, and other than the streaking (which after some crazy buffing I managed to get rid of), I got some of the WORST fogging at night once I turned on my AC.

It actually became so fogged that it became very dangerous to drive. I guess water does a terrible job of cleaning inside glass... I suppose you need something with a good cleaner, like alcohol (Stoner's IG) to get the windows clean enough.

Quickstrike, thanks for the reply, I had no idea Windex even had Ammonia in it.

Like I said, I was just plain raised with it like millions of others! That is why I have always used it, but, No More!
