Here is my problem: I have a black trans am. It has had nothing but zaino and lots of it from day one. I ordered the car and it was not touched by the dealer. The car is garaged and is a weekend driver. I only wash the car a couple times a year as it rarely gets dirty. I use z6 and a california car duster on it all the time. It looks great. Before I apply more zaino I always make sure the surface is perfectly clean. One coat it looks great and will look like this
However, I will add a couple more coats and it looks terrible. It is like I am fighting a never ending battle. I only use pakshak mf's. Do you think I applying too much zaino, not in how much I am using, but how often I put it on? On the average I put about 3 coats of z5/zfx every 2 weeks. But I may not drive the car at all for that time period. Does having the car in the sun help to cure or dry the zaino? My only guess is it is not fully drying and the swirls I am seeing are not in the clear coat, but rather zaino which is not dried and not removed? I love the zaino and the way it looks, but it is driving me crazy. The car is an absolute blast to drive, but I am more concerned about trying to keep the car clean than driving it. I am seriously considering switching to s100. How long will the s100 last and can you layer it like zaino or are there abrasives in it and each time it is applied it will remove what was already on there? I don't really need the extra protection zaino provides and am thinking the s100 will fill the few swirls better than the zaino is?
