Fantasy Football?

Another week, another win. I might have to make some trades and share the wealth. :)

I've told you kids before, and I'll say it again. You should be taking advantage of the wealth of information out there about players and their fantasy impact. Yahoo, ESPN, CBS Sportsline, Rotoworld, etc are all great sites to do some reading.

If you find that enjoy the sport enough, try to find a money league. I have two that cost a whopping $20-$25 to join and give me the prospect of winning at least $100 by year's end. If I don't win, it's only $20. $20 for 16-17 weeks of fun is worth it to me. Plus, that money comes right at the holidays, so it is a mini-bonus.

Plus, money leagues tend to be more fun and competitive. Free leagues offer no reward, so interest dies down after awhile, especially among teams that don't perform so well. I imagine this league with all the new people should do fairly well and not see interest die off that much.

The Duece let me down. Lost by two points:mad:

But I guess when I look at it, my opponent had a fellow that did not even get any points.

This fantasy league has certainly energized my interest in the NFL. Here is to all the league members that joined. :howdy:D:thanks

Yeah I didn't realize till after that Andre Johnson was not playing...

I almost feel guilty talking some of you into playing. I probably shouldn't be playing it myself because I tend to obsess over it on Sundays. I can't help it.

I've almost written myself off in this league already though. When your first two picks don't do anything but hurt you, you're not going to win many weeks.

I ended up with top score in my other league for the week even with Duece as one of my starters and my top receiver (Andre Johnson) on the bench. I was up against last years winner this week too so it felt good taking him down a notch.:dnaughty

Since this is our first year doing fantasy football on DC and half the guys didnt know anything during the draft (and I am in last place:redface:), I am declaring this whole year as practice for next year.:rockon

I will make this promise to you Scott. You will have much stiffer competition next year. I will make sure I am less distracted in the draft and we are already seeing signs of newbees catching the fever so look out.:yikes:

I have some players that are not doing me any good so I would like to get rid of them. I just do not know how to do it.

All you have to do is click the tab at the top that says "Players". From there you can view players by position and can choose which ones you want from there. Just click on the "+" button next to their name. After that, it should lead you back to your current team and you can choose which one to let go.

Well, I sure hope so for your sake. At this point, I don't think you could be less competitive. :notme::howdy:cheers:

Tell me about it. :passout: I've done much better than this when I didn't know what I was doing. I'm sticking with my "too distracted during the draft" excuse.:notme:

It's cool. I'm going to have a few rough weeks ahead of me pretty soon. My starters are pretty solid, but I don't have many good back ups as of right now.

I will try it. I hope the battery holds on this player transition. Thanks!!!

My big back bit the dust(ACL). Duece...say it ain't so:wall:surrender:snow::snow::wow::eek::passout:

Done for the year. Not to give out hints but maybe pick up their back up. I have Reggie Bush, but he will never be a primary feature running back.

I still can't believe 3 of you let a bunch of fruitcakes get on top of the leader board. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

I just looked at my week 6 match up with Scott and we have a total of 9 players on a bye week with the current set up. That should definitely be an interesting week. We could call it the battle of the benches.
