Dripping Wet Torch Red Corvette!! (Full Correction) by Rickrack...

L.R.D- Thanks Avi! I have detailed a few Corvette's in the past...:)

Jscort98- Thank you!

TH0001- Ha, ha... Thanks again Todd!

Picus- Thanks picus! I painted the mufflers after because I didn't buy the paint until later in the detail. Normally I would have done it before any claying and polishing was done. The car was covered / masked off properly before painting...

Puckman- Thanks a "wicked" lot!! :D

P1et- Thanks! I bought my Sonus pads at the Autopia store and like them a lot

Lumadar- Thanks!

WGMARQ- LOL, Thanks!

SilvaBimma- Thank you! I'm not sure what brand name they are. You can find them at most body shop supply stores.

Jokeman- Thanks Bryan!

G35stilez- Thanks Sean!

That is simply an amazing turnaround of that C4 paint! I have a black C5 and it's a nightmare to correct. Absolutely unreal results! Well done. :up

"The targa top was removed, polished and sealed. Then, all rubber gaskets were extensively cleaned using Super Kleen degreaser and dressed with Pro-Shine."

SUPERB attention to detail.

I'm not a fan of C4 Vettes, but this one is gorgeous.

Not only is this one amazing detail, but I always enjoy when it's accompanied by a great write-up!

thanks rick!

I have to say that you (and ryan) are in 'artist' territory with your details (out of just pro detailer territory) because you seem to have had a vision for this car to reach a potential that I personally am not wise enough to see!!!

Did you use Black Wow on the plastic trim to remove the wax, or do you have a more rigorous set of tips/techniques that you use?

Wow, and he does it again. Great job man, you are one of my favorite members to stalk, i love seeing your threads. I usually look at them several times for about 20 minutes each, hahaha.

AppliedColors- Thanks a lot! Every little detail counts!...

David Fermani- Thank you David! It is definitely one of the nicest C4's I have ever detailed for sure.

David703- Thanks David!

snowskate- Jack, thank you for the kind words! It was definitely a lot of work, but well worth it in the end. To remove the dried up wax from the black trim, I used a stiff-bristle horse hair brush with 91% alcohol to scrub it clean and dressed it with Pro-Shine dressing after.

kwiker- Wow, I've never been stalked before... :nervous: ha, ha...

Thanks a lot!

az57chevy- Thanks! Thurmalox Stove Paint was used on the mufflers.

kaval- Thank you!

mojo11- Thanks! It's pretty hard to say, but probably something similar. I have found that 3M Extra Cut works a little better on C5 paint than 105.
