Detailersclub.com down?

Are you washing NXT with a product that contains polymers or wax? If so how do you know that the NXT is continuing to bead and shine as well as when it was first applied? BTW I'm sure that NXT 2.0 is better than the first version. The first version was among the best looking products ever produced and looked great until it was washed. If Megs can figure out how to get NXT to hold it's look I'm sure it will be the #1 consumer product.

Keep us posted as to how NXT 2.0 holds up once the weather hits the 90's. I know from my experiences with waxes I often got much, much longer durability during cooler months than during the hot summer.

And when Paul Dalton starts using products from Walmart I might change my opinion:nervous2:

Boy, I bet this thread didn't go the way anyone expected...

This is exactly how I expected it to go.

B****,moan,argue..........typical human nature.

I find it interesting that some of the members, I'm mean visitors, of our forum suddenly come out of the wood work for some of the strangest reasons? Sorry that Autopia can't stimulate you enough to post more often. I can't wait for DC to come back alive too. Come again soon....:sadwavey:

I call *some* people "visitors" when they only post every 8-10 months. Do a search on their posts & you'll find some interesting discussions too.

Plus, what's the real reason for this thread in the 1st place? To inconspicuously bring out all the haters of Autopia? Who really cares about another detailing site being down? Sorry that your life is that ruined. Seems a little hard to digest to me. This thread hasn't helped anything except create more awareness for another site.

I had it on my 626 several weeks before it got wrecked and I was taking through the tunnel washes at the gas station to see how it holds up. The black BMW 750 I have it on has seen at least a couple dealer washes.

I see both sides of this arguement, but I will say that I agree with wannafbody for the most part.

I would also add that I really don't respect PRO detailers who don't know how to use a rotary or cannot touch up paint (this is on a professional level, not a personal level). Again this is not personal at all, my best friend is an artist, but can't paint. I love him to death, but shouldn't an artist atleast be able to draw.

Why am I not suprised? :Geezx

Agreed David. But I'm looking forward to DC coming back up so I can read the same 7 members with their 2 new posts a day sitting around in a circle jerk talking about Zaino.

Who is the utter, total buffoon who handles that site anyway? What a joke to put it mildly. How rich is it to read DC members posting over here given the multitude of classless discussions about DavidB, Autopia, Scott and any other reason to harpoon our community.

The fact that this thread is up and running allowing the DC Internet Trolls to spew their drivel is rather funny. They couldn't even wait until their own site is back up!

Wait, I gotta drop a deuce. I feel one brewing....<squeeze>

Sounds egotistical to me

Kill the thread already. No one is forcing anyone to be at Autopia or at DC. If you dont like it here or there DONT GO its really that flipping easy.

IMO anyone who is detailing for a living should be able to use a rotary competently. A rotary can accomplish in 5 or 10 minutes what a PC would take hours to do. Painters and bodyshops don't use PC's for correction work. Now the Flex may be powerful enough to do most of what a rotary can do without the downside of hollogramming. Let me also say that I should clarify my position in this aspect: I don't think there is anything wrong with buying some MF's, APC's or carwash at Walmart or Target.

I will polish until surface scratches are removed via rotary, then use the RO to remove any hazing or holograms.

It is a careful balance.

I created this thread for a specific reason, and I have indeed been thankful of the hospitality of the same time.

I see it as an opportunity I wouldn't usually take, due to the site I usually visit being down, I get a taste of yours. I would think the members would take the opportunity to really show support and invite the "visitors" to come in for more conversation. Sure there are always bad apples, but if you can sport out the good ones, your day will be that much better, creating even more strong supporters within the community.

Same goes for the other board! Thanks for the hospitality, and please ignore the sour apples that have fallen far from the original topic of the "tree".

:usa

You guys are great, all of you in the detailing community, and the most wonderful thing is that you know exactly who you are. You are the ones who can differenciate between the sour apples and the true supporters without even the slightest squint of your eye, that's the professionalism that makes us proud, regardless of the few that act up.

Again, I must reassure, I am honestly very happy to be involved in this wonderful community.

Thanks again!
