David Fermani[B said:]Of course, but the other forums don't allow discussion of any products that are not forum sponsored. Here's we can talk about ANY product, as long as their's not ulterior motives. Other forums delete your posts if you're not conforming to their suggested products. I haven't seen it here. [/B]
Maybe I haven't noticed, but who's gotten banned here for discussing Zaino? Their whole product line is discussed constantly just as much as any other's here.

Product discussion and support should be limited to products we carry and sell
This forum was designed to promote and help the users of AG and our sister sites. (Pinnacle, Wolfgang, Bikedepot) As such we will keep the discussions to our product lines

I don't want to use "bragging", but I'm tempted to. It doesn't really apply considering one crucial fact.
Considering that "expensive cars" are usually less work and better taken care of before the detail.
...With that said, it really doesn't matter how expensive.
In all honesty, I really mean no offense when I say this.
I just felt it should be pointed out, I'm sure others would agree.
Anyways,
Refer to my previous post.:

I just hope the other board is going to live, we're all detailers who obviously love what we do - I'm sure nobody wants the board to die.
You guys may have your disagreements with each other, but I feel what we have in common really outweighs the disagreements, especially considering how small of a community we are!

Complete BS . . . those threads are closed only when the participants get out of hand. We've never locked a thread about Zaino simply because it was about Zaino.DieselMDX said:lol any thread on zaino is normally locked
TH0001 said:Do I feel it gives me more crediablity, yes... Do I think its deserved, not really. I agree that most expensive cars are far easier to maintain, improve, work on then a minivan. I think you completely missed the point of my post.
The point is that my work showcases Zaino, hell I have Zaino in my avatar, and I have never felt mis treated.
The fact that I apply and tie Zaino to high end cars is more benefical from a marketing stand point then somebody tieing it to a minivan. Its better marketing for the compaines whose product I use.
Personally, I feel your post was out of line, as I try to comment on peoples threads about the work they do, not on the cars they do it on (unless its just a way cool car). I judge myself and others by the work, not the canvas, so to speak.
All I'm saying is that if this huge anti Zaino campaign existed, it would have made sense to ban me, IMO. I feel like I have been treated completely fairly, so....
Deanski said:Alright, as I said there are strong opinions and that's fine. Let's not get into a whole debate on why or which topic/product etc gets banned at which forum.
Moving right along, let's hope that Detailersclub gets the site back up.
Once again, have a happy holiday.

Less a minivan to compare, but say this - American cars...
'04 Vette with the usual neglect VS a mustang from the 60s with oxidized paint.
I have much more respect for the detailer than can get results fine from that mustang than I can the guy who details a new Vette with minor neglect. I just felt it showed inexperience, or neglecting recognize that kind of work, it's much more intensive.
They deserve props, not people who say, "I work on expensive cars". I do too, but if that's all you work on, you'll get really spoiled, really fast - and forget how to really get some serious changes made. Us detailers are famous for restoration! :usa
Oh, I didn't miss the point of your post, and I know I didn't clarify on that. I'm not discussing product usage. I apologize, but I felt it was just a little thing worth noting.
