coupe or sedan, what do you prefer?

Let's see.. I like coupes....but,I have one 6year old so I need a back seat...ah, my coupe has 4 doors and drives like a sports car... can you guess what I drive??? It' an RX8. A functional coupe that is a blast to drive.

what does everyone think :up OR :down ? it suppose to hit the dealers around nov 1st!

I think that looks excellent. Really gives it the extra little bit that it needed. I am a four-door guy. I just hate having to move seats forward and cram into the back of a coupe.

i've been eyeing this little sucker, here's a few more pics!

I like 2-door hatches best. Lots of interior cargo space, especially with the back seat folded down. Easy in, easy out.

I used to like coupes better, and still like the styling of coupes better. However, the next car is going to be a sedan... it's just sooo much easier to get people in and out.

I work under the more is better rule...

Why have 4 cylinders when you can have 6?

Why have 6 speakers when you can have 8?

And why have 2 doors when you can have 4?

But I will admit that 2 doors generally looks sportier...that Honda does look good though.

I have also heard from an old coworker who autocrossed that many times when given the choice in a model the 4 doors will handle better due to less body flex, more rigidity, in the car. But I have no experience in that and can’t back that up....

Fastback coupes, if I had my choice. All of the cars I've owned up to now have been coupes. I'm not a fan of sedans, so my new car is a wagon.

I prefer sedans for the most part, the best car for me is a high quality 4 door luxury sedan.

I could however see me having a 2 door fun car though, but never as a primary car.

For me, it's a hard choice. I like the coupes for their sportiness and the fact that your blind spot seems a lot smaller compared to a sedan, but sedans are much more convenient (sp?) and more easily accessable to the rear seats, especially when detailing. Lower insurance on a sedan as well :)

driving home from the dealership today from getting an oil change, i saw another one of these and jeez they're b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l! for some reason, i favor this design over the bmw's that are out.... more elegant? :nixweiss

:wow: :woot2:

I prefer sedans. I had a coupe, and having the extra doors to access the rear seats is so much more convenient than moving the front seats forward and back, having people squeeze in-between. I think if I were to get another 2-door it'd only be because it's a 2-seater: Lotus Elise or something like that.

Coupes. I just like the styling better, and performace (being a stiffer design). However, I wouldnt compare them if looking to buy. If I'm looking for function, everyday car, i'd look into sedans only. Sporty car/toy, only look at coupes.

The new civic looks pretty nice though btw.

Some cars look better with four doors, namely hatches. if you look at some of the bigger hatches...they just look like a truck with canopy. Plus if you have a full cage in it, the extra doors are nice to work on things behind the driver/codriver.

You can not beat the convenience of a four door. But two door car look great and generally handle better. Buy on of each (Ha Ha )
