coupe or sedan, what do you prefer?

Hrm, good question. My current cars are both sedans; next will be a coupe. Generally I prefer the styling of coupes - but like the practicallity of a 4 door (which usually means a bigger trunk too). I guess the bottom line is for me it depends on the car. :)

personally I like the new breed of 4 door coupe, ie MB CLS

It probably depends if you have kids... I just graduated from HS, so no kids, and I definitely prefer a coupe. I've had a '93 Civic SI (totaled by a dump truck), and now a '94 eclipse- both coupes. I just like two doors more.

I really like the 2-door form factor but my current situation (2 kids on the way) pretty much dictates a 4-door is in the future. However, I too have noticed that several sedans are becoming more and more sporty in looks and performance. Heck, even Toyota/Lexus are following the trend (I have nothing against their cars - in fact I really like them...they just don't have a consistent history of building cars with aggressive lines).

I prefer a sedan for the practicality of it. In addition the very large doors on most coupes make you think twice about pulling into some parking spots.

Hottest sedan on the road, hands down.

I generally prefer the look of coupes, but since the new G35 Sedan was adopting many traits from the coupe, I opted for the sedan. Thus far, it's GREAT having the rear room.

Sure, I'd prefer a hot performance coupe any day, but in reality, a sedan is more practical. And, nowadays, even my G35 sedan is losing its practicality, as I have a growing need for a SUV. I had a coupe as a teen and into my twenties and loved it, but things change and as much as I can love a coupe, there just isn't room for one in the stable.

My ideal setup would be a SUV for me (hauling, trips, etc) and a sports coupe for the wife, probably a 350Z. We are working towards this, but have other goals to pursue first.

:)

I have had them all and I like the 4 doors better. Back seat access is easy and you don't have to mess with the front seats to get back there.

Always preferred the look of a 2 door car but I have always owned sedans. I enjoy the extra space and carrying availability... although I rarely use my back seats. At least it has a turbo. :2thumbs:

I'm with what appears to be the majority for once  Much as I love the look of coupes, I find sedans much more practical.

Even when I'm just running errands by myself, a four-door just works better for me.

I prefer sedans. I find coupes are only slightly more entertaining to drive but still so far from a real sports car that it isn't worth the bother. And your passengers will thank you!
