Chemical guys concours 5050 wax

Here's my 5050 experience. Applied on Saturday to my red 911. Was really impressed with the way the paint looked. I agree with some other comments that Natty's looks wetter, but the 5050 made the paint look so clear and deep. Was at grocery store on Sunday buying pumpkins and some couple walked by me as I was loading up the trunk and said, "Wow, your car looks great, it must be brand new." I told them that is was 1 1/2 years old (really now that I think about more like 2 years old). Anyways, they couldn't believe it. I told them I'd just waxed it and they both commented that it looked amazing. VERY happy with 5050!

That is what makes 5050 so special, the clarity and depth, giving you the great/unique characteristics similar to the Zymol Eglazes. Also, imo this is one wet looking wax. Best of both worlds.

I have some 50/50 (No. 20 of 2000) and i am very impressed with it, but i personally can't see a great difference between 50/50 & P21S, although i have so far only used 50/50 on dark coloured cars so maybe it will be more noticeable on other colours

Durability, able to apply in the sun, are some of the differences imo.

Ashsarna, can you post some larger pics of your MB? I love the 5050....

I would love to, but, the wife is at the inlaws and has both the digital cameras/labtop with her. I Need to wait till Nov :nervous: .

The addiction continues...........I just got off the phone with Paul @ CG........ Got me some 50/50 & some Blitz on the way. ( along with a few "samples". ) It should be mentioned that I use just about all of the products talked about 'round these here parts ( and like them all ) yet I keep going back to my CG stash. I'm looking forward to layering some 50/50 over the Z5 Pro-Z2 Pro I've got on my Black "C". Should be mouth watering.

I like 5050 much more than P21S (at least on my red car).

I talked to Paul and ordered more stuff... The more I try the more I keep using them over other brands (from the leather conditioner, blitz, spider polish to their chbby MF - he has some cool new colors).

He has the orange with black/dark blue border color. Actually, Paul said that he has more color possibilities. He said that the site will have them up soon.

Sweet!!, Thanks!, I need to get together another order soon, Luvin the CG stuff!!! :getdown

Just wondering if the CG 50/50 darkens the car's color. I have light blue paint. I've had to stay with P21S, PPG so far because I'm trying to keep the waxes I use from darkening the color.

I don't think it darkens the paint.

not on light colored cars. I tried it on a Imola yellow b5s4 and it was evenly neutral. On a nogaro blue i think it gave maybe 1 shade difference.

A little off topic, but how wide is the 5050 tin can ? Wide enough for a 4" applicator?

Also, is it an 8 oz can?
