Best Over The Counter QD?

For general use, Eagle One Wet Wipe N' Shine. It is the most versatile OTC QD that I've used. Never had any issue with it other than it is outgunned by many in the looks department. It is very easy to use, works well with carnauba and sealants and its dirt cheap.

For people using NXT, NXT Speed Detailer produces a better finish than any QD I have. But it is not as easy to use as EO. I need to minimize the amount I spray because a heavy amount causes streaks. It requires more wiping strokes to buff off. Because of this trait, it may not be the best choice if you want to use the QD as a substitute for washing. But it makes a clean car with NXT sparkle.

What would it be boys, the best otc QD?

Meguiars Final Detail use to be an excellent over the counter detailer but it's been discountinued. I haven't tried the replacement as I still have about 30 ounces left. I'll probably go mail order this next time around with Clearkotes Quickshine or Poorboys S&G.:D

I am going to be using nxt, but everyone says it's harder to use then using the wax itself so.. i don't think i want it :down

Meguiars Last Touch is the replacement for Final Detail and it's suppose to be very good. You can usually find it at an Auto Body supply store and if they don't stock it, they should be able to order it in and have it in a couple days. The Wax Shop also makes a pretty good over the counter quick detailer and it can be found at many Auto Parts supply stores.:)

I would suggest NXT Speed Detailer or EO Wipe n Shine. Both are great QD'S!!! I havent had ANY streaking problems with wither one of them. Its very easy to use IMO, its like they evaporate after one swipe with a good MF. I recently tried Pinnacle Crystal Mist and I think since there is a lot of carnuaba content it streak like a B****! I think its easier to apply another coat of Souveran than it is to use Crystal Mist.

The trick to using the NXT Speed Detailer is to use it sparingly, in the shade, using 2 mf towels, one for the initial wipe and the other for the final wipe. Just make sure the final wipe is with a dry towel. Once you find out how to use it, it's relatively easy to use. I believe that it's the spray on wax version of NXT that is harder to use, not the quick detailer.

As for compatibility with LSPs, carnaubas are not as fuzzy as sealants like Klasse. Klasse users generally avoid QDs that contain carnauba.

I vote for EO Wipe n Shine QD. I'ved used it on top of any LSP I've tried. No issues, even on the Zaino. Provides a very "mild" gloss, but slickness is awesome.

My vote goes to Eagle One Wipe 'n' Shine. I haven't had any problems using it on top of many different LSPs. It's the best if you want something available locally for a very inexpensive price.

My vote also goes to Eagle One W n S . Of course their are other good QDs, Turtle Platinum detailer is also very good. If you want something that is more spray wax then qd then Mothers FX is super.

why don't you try the QD+ from poorboys?? It's got carnuba in it which will leave the surface much more shiny

I'll be trying the Turtle Wax Platinum Series Quick Detailer spray soon. It will be going on top of the Turtle Wax PUG paste wax which is listed in the reviews section of the site.

Zymol Detail Kicks Ash!!!! It might be one of the best overall. For a freshly waxed car, however, I like something a little more mild, so another qd that's excellent for the "just waxed" is Sonus' carnauba spritz (not otc).

I tried this one, its good stuff too. This one seems to work with older wax surfaces or wax that's run out. Another vote.
