Best Over The Counter QD?

I just applied some of the Turtle Wax PS QD spray to my 3-day-old application of Turtle Wax PUG paste wax. The smell of the two products is quite similar and not unpleasant. I can only compare this to the Meguiar's Quick Detail spray. The TW spray comes out in a stream rather than a mist like the Meguiar's QD spray. Otherwise the spreading and removal is approximately the same. I used my Viking MF drying towel as I love it for buffing purposes. I only had one halogen light in the garage to work with, but it seems that the gloss and reflectivity improved. I'll be able to compare the QD'd side to the unQD'd side of one of the doors in the daylight tomorrow.

edit: I forgot to mention something important. The TW QD spray claims to hide small swirl marks. My paint has a LOT of swirl marks and it does seem to diminish that scratched look slightly.

Meguiars Quik Detailer is the way to go! Its super easy to apply and buff off and its only 5 bux. You can get it pretty much anywhere too.

Wow, I can't believe there haven't been more mentions of Mother's QD.

IMO, as a "walk into a local reatiler and pick up a bottle" type product, Mothers showtime cannot be beat.

Agreed ! Showtime is a great underrated QD.

I agree with the Mothers QD being a great product.

Anyone else try the Turtle Wax PS stuff ?

I'm looking for something with more protection for my daily driver that sits outside all the time. This stuff has Carnauba and is widely available.

EO EO EO wipe and shine is my favorite. can't beat it for the price and perfomance....great stuff. but mothers is a very close 2nd

#34 Final inspection is my favorite. I think it leaves just about the slickest finish of any QD I've used.

I like #34 as well, but I don't like the fact that it doesn't "mist", it only kind of streams. I guess I could put it in a different bottle.

I am going to be using nxt, but everyone says it's harder to use then using the wax itself so.. i don't think i want it :down

Don't confuse the NXT QD with the NXT Spray Booster Wax. The QD is a standard QD, the Booster Wax is a shine touchup. THey behave differently.

Yes, this is exactly what I do, I just bought a few of those white and red mister spray heads at a car show and I'm good to go. Work wonderfully for all kinds of QDs including Crystal Mist.

FI is a permanent staple in my arsenal. A true classic.

I can get OGSO locally so that would be one of the best OTC QDs for me. I also like Showtime and FX Spray Wax, which is similar to NXT's booster wax, but a little easier to use.

For OTC, it's Mother's for me. Cinnamon smell is cool too but can be overwhelming sometimes (especially when I used to use QD for clay lube.) I also had streaking issues with Mother's on black but it's was probably me more than anything else.
