Beer Time

Tonight two absolutely delicious brew's, first up a Dogfish Head Immort Ale, and then a St. Bernardus Prior 8. Anyone else?

finished off my dogfish head 90 min IPA last night. those are so good !!! the 120 min IPA was awesome, but at $10 a bottle .... it should be !!!

gonna have to restock now.

My first time with Dog Fish Head 90 min IPA. Mmmmmmm, very complex. Also picked up some 60 Min IPA cause I know the 90 min is just a little strong. So I will have only one for tonight, OK maybe 2 Shhhhhhh....

Go for the 120 min.

the 120 min IPA is $10 a bottle here in northern virginia. it has to be a totally awesome beer that that price. what's the most you've ever spent for a bottle of beer?

last night was a sierra nevada porter. and, although i'm pretty much a domestic guy, i also picked up a six pack of smithwick's ale, imported from ireland. it was ok, but didn't have as full of a flavor as some of the other ale's that i've had recently.

I've noticed a lot of beersnobs (exuse the term) seem to prefer higher %ABV as their tastebuds progress. Stouts (RIS in particular) and IPAs appear to be top choice by a lot of beer ratings, but why?

I tried some Full Sail IPA the other night and it kicked the $hit out of my tastebuds..

BUT I redeemed the moment with some Newcastle.. great stuff.
