You would be wise to wear at the least a dust mask. Silicosis is a very serious health hazard when detailing. Primarily with polishing compounds that use silica as the abrasive media. This was an awesome thread til the 56 turned into red-x's. My computer must've gotten tired of the awesome work.

Umm.....sorry, guess I posted too many pics.

I am going to start wearing a mask when I have this kind of work to do. Thanks, I'll look into Silicosis as well.

The 56 Chevy Bel Air was one of the first cars that awed me when I was a child. I still remember when my uncle pulled up that car and popped the hood. It was heaven! Thanks for the memories. Nothing but SUPERLATIVES for the detail.

First of all Josh, your write up on all the steps you did is awesome and the process is awesome, and the final results is truly a professional detailer showing his masterpiece workmanship! I had a wash & wax on a 4dr 56 Chevy this past weekend and i know all about losing ones skin from all that chrome on the bumpers, Give yourself a pat on the back because this is a truly work of art you have done! Simply one of the best ones around!!!!! :bow :bow :bow

Josh,

As usual, simply phenomenal. Your attention to the finer points and also your documentation process is just fantastic. This particular detail really shows the value of your work. I really enjoyed reading it while having my morning "cup of joe". Thanks.

P.S. about the back pain, I would suggest charging an extra "personal detail" charge so that you can schedule yourself a well deserved massage. :D

In the simplest terms it is similar to getting glass in your lungs.

Thanks, this is actually something I'm seriously considering, getting a chiropractor and a massage therapist on a monthly basis.

Puckman, Cajunfirehawk, Jetset4me, Dave1, Red4.8 thanks guys, the compliments mean a lot to me. After working so hard for so long, the results are great but having this forum like it so much is even greater.

Thanks,

Josh

P1et, ChrisNJ, Yrebel7tpx, thanks, I don't post up all the cars I detail, just don't have time, but I definately try to post the ones that are special, rare or had a some huge process involved. This was one of those....
