The Pinnacle would *probably* be OK, but ya just never know...somebody here decided to top their (dried/cured/OK) 476S with Souveran and it messed it all up (presumably via solvent-action) and nobody expected that to cause any problems. Just gotta try a given combo and see how it turns out.
I had a case where my FK425 did *NOT* play nice with 476S, so I now avoid using that.
I'm *VERY* happy with how Meguiar's UQW works on 476S, that's what I'm now using as my Drying Aid on the '93 Audi.
Hi guys,
I'm surprised to hear that such an "over the counter" Wal-mart product such as UQD & UQW are admired by guys like you....Must be decent stuff
cp981= Well, maybe it *doesn't* like being topped with that particular product.
My 476S doesn't wipe off *quite* as easily as Souveran, but both come off with no real effort. And I even let Souveran set up/dry instead of buffing it off immediately the way most people do.
Heh heh, by the time you get this all squared away to your liking you might be over the idea of topping/combining LSPs![]()
I'll try some....
Another topic....So I just put 476S on one front fender on top of WDGS that has been curing for 3 days now. The 476S just like the Pinnacle Souveran is wiping off like dried glue. VERY difficult to remove with LOTS of drag. I applied the was super thin of course and it "hazed" over per Collinite's instruction. It appears to me that Wolfgang Deep Gloss Sealant does NOT like being topped....Any thoughts guys? Thanks
Why are you topping it? If you like the look of 476S or Souveran, use them instead. Neither is hard to apply and remove so why go through all the extra work?
cp981- A few thoughts:
-Some sealants aren't really any more protective than a wax like 476S anyhow
-As you've found, even using a sealant + Beauty Wax (e.g., Souveran) combo can open a can of worms
-If using Souveran, might better stick to combos that're known to work (I use it over AutoGlym's Super Resin Polish these days)
-I sure don't blame you for wanting to get some use out of that jar of Souveran, guess I oughta feel that way about the WG sealant too, since you did spend your money on it
Guess that blows some of the theory I always subscribed to that it was ok to top within the same family. I wouldn't think the Pinnacle and WG would be at odds, as PBMG sells them both as their in house brands. But then of course, that doesn't mean they use the same manufacturer for both lines...
Fusion works ok over WGDGPS. Auto geek sells kits with WGDGPS and Souveran to be used together.

Hi Scott,
No you might be misunderstanding what I've done so far.....I prepped the car up to the point of applying Wolfgang Deep Gloss Sealant. I then waited a few days for it to cure properly. I then applied Souveran to the roof of the Porsche in a WoWo application and the wipe off was like spreading glue. I then ordered some 476S that I just received today and it is wiping off even more difficult to near impossible. The reason I wanted to top the Wolfgang sealant was to add more protection...
