Zymol poor customer service

Zymol customer service really stinks. The last two times I have sent my Vintage for a refill it has thaken to long, 7 to 8 weeks. Still wating on current refill. You call them up and give you a excuse as, we sending out customer orders now, were waiting the wax etc. etc. and it should be a couple weeks. Don't count on it. I am a customer also investing $1,800.00 bucks for product and service. Consumer product and backed with service are NO.1 in my book.

That sucks to hear that. I have heard this from numerous people and this is just another reason why I will not do business with them.

Just imagine that they now sell Vintage for $2200.

I'm in the same boat. I sent my cube in for a refill on Feb 26. I called Diane prior to shipping off the cube to let her know it was coming, and to find out how long it would take. She said three weeks max. It's now been four weeks. I can't get anyone there to answer the phone now.

Since it's taking them so long to turn refills around, I think I'll just empty my cube into another container (assuming I ever get it back), and immediately return it for another refill.

Probably not a bad idea. How long does one refill last you?

I can usually do a complete application using one ounce, so about 22 applications per refill.

LOL, can't blame ya for tryin'

Well, I hope this doesn't extend t product troubles!! I just ordered a pot of Estate Glaze and a chest of Vintage. This is my first run with Zymol. We use Meg for most of our clients. On the higher end run- we do only three per month - we have been using Wolfgang products.

I know exactly what you guys are talking about. I currently acquired a sample of Vintage and I emailed Diane to forward to a chemist my options of making it hard again by heating it. I wanted to know if the amount of solvents evaporated would affect the wax immensely. No reply yet although she said she forwarded it to a Tech Support Department...

Heck that's barely enough to last you a month. :)

Is that normal for to use an ounce of a paste wax for one application? For some reason I was assuming less than half an ounce was needed when using a paste wax.

Good luck with that. :( They have never replied to any emails I've sent them.

Thats why I am going to email Dom @ Dodo Juice as well as Ben @ Rubbishboys for their opinions. I know for sure that these 2 guys are willing to help at least :)

I'm pretty ham-fisted with the stuff. This is one LSP where a good thick coating is really what you want. To thin, and it dries too fast. And once it's dried, O M G is it hard to get off. You have to remove it right when there's just a bit of a dried crust on the top, but still a bit gooey underneath. I also put it on everything that's visible on the outside of the car. *Everything* is fair game, as it doesn't stain, and it actually makes a pretty good trim dressing.

That's very cool that they'll help you out with a product that they don't even make.

You know, for the prices they charge, the refills should be sent freight prepaid, next day!

Exactly. Or at the *very least* give us decent customer service and turn around times.

Well I can't say that I'm surprised. Believe it or not, I've only have had one refill thus far (I am almost at the point of needing another one). It took a month for them to fill my container. I am somewhat neutral on their customer service because I feel that as long as Zymol is fulfilling their obligation of refilling the containers, then that is a satisfactory service.

It would be different, as an example, if the company guaranteed a refill in a week's time, and then it has been taking them at least a month's time to refill. Luckily for Zymol (also meanly smart) that no stated turn around time has been mentioned in their product disclaimer.

Then again, I can see where Zymol is slacking off if they have been turning the waxes over in two weeks time on a normal basis, and lately its been taking them 5-7 weeks instead of two. I would be annoyed if that's the case. MDRX, maybe an alternative for you would be to write a letter to zymol expressing your disappointment in the turn-around time to refill your wax. I'm keeping notes for myself as well because I have to send off my container, and it looks like I may have a wait myself. I remember scooping off what I had left in the container to hold me over as I sent it in for a refill; Looks like I'll be doing the same thing this year.

Good luck.

Supe, you've got a point there. The stuff is amazing at any thickness level. But you really see how Vintage flies when you get a really good coating developed (coat #3 will do things for you, and for me coat #6 is the killer!). You can get really disappointed when you run out of your good stuff (Like when I used to run out of concours and was too lazy to re-order the stuff right away......well at 150+ bucks a jar who would wonder why lol!!!).

that's terrible, especially when you pay that much for their product. it will catch up with them sooner or later...
