Zaino

Scott, what pad did you use for the ZAIO? I used a Megs yellow with ZAIO and it seemed to offer some corrective abilities.

The car was nearly new and pretty much swirl free, so I used a black LC CCS finishing pad. I've also used it with white Edge Cyclo finishing pads and the minor correction seems similar to Prime or AIO.

What I like best about ZAIO is the more carnauba look it has, reminds me of Prime Carnauba.

Just wondering for you Zaino users, how important is it to keep using Z7? Is it bad to go with something else?

I know some people here use various car washes. Me I just use Z-7 all the time.

I put Zaino on my sisters Accord, but she uses NXT wash, and I don't see anything wrong. It still beads like crazy...

Here is a pic of my sisters car I took lastnight after it rained.. since Feb 07... 2x Z-2p and 1x Z-CS...

Her car gets washed at least once a month, and it stays inside the garage overnight...

Honestly, my Zaino beading is usually better than that, even after 2 months, they are all round and uniform. I dunno if the CS isn't as good, or if the NXT hasn't been friendly to it.

I haven't had the best luck with NXT wash in general.

My CS beads from my G35 looks insane (very 'nuba like). I wash her weekly with Z7 and blot dry.

However, you have to look at baseline beading too. Do these beads look the same as the first wash after detailing? If so, then you have equal protection. The reason for lesser beads on some finishes, I have found, has mainly been a paint prep/condition issue. Lastly, take a look at beading after you rinse and wash your car, not after a rain fall. Any sort of contaminant on your surface (dust, pollen, road grime) can hinder beading.

Any wash will work fine. Z7 has a sheeting additive added to help make drying easier.

Ok here's another pic of my sisters car... keep in mind she has 2x Z2p, and 1x ZCS..

She only washes it at least once a month with NXT or Z7, and I never used any Z6 or Z8. I just dry it and be gone with it......by far it's better than NXT from my experience.

True! Her car is always dirty. Never washes unless it rains or I have time to wash it.

NXT did not work well for me niether. I had better luck with turle wax zip wash and wax:help: Funny part is I just found a bottle of zip wash and wax in my old garage. I was laughing so hard.:spit:
