Zaino Procedures?

Hi Grinder,

I've had success mixing one ounce of Dawn with 11 oz. of water in a spray bottle for a lubricant for the Z18 clay; and also one oz. of Z7 Wash and 11 oz. of water in a spray bottle for a lubricant for the Z18 Clay. I felt the Z6 is a little expensive to use a lube, if the other Z7 or Dawn would do the job.

With ZFX you can apply Z down into the 40's — I've applied at 43 degrees without any problem. Without ZFX, cold temperatures become a problem for applying Z.

There has been a lot of historic discussion about using medical syringes as applicators to apply Z. If you do a Search using "syringe" as the keyword, you will find very extensive Zaino threads.:)

Welcome aboard!

Thanks for all the great info guys! I'm thinking tomorrow looks like a perfect day to Zaino all the cars in the Garage! Nothing beats a Shiny MINI, M5, S4 and Navigator all lined up:D Can someone point me to a nice discussion about the Zaino applicator vs MF or foam ones? From what you guys have said I'm thinking the cotton may not be best for a beginner like me. Someone posted a link above that was similar, but it seemed to be about machine pads or something... Anyways, thanks for the info!

Actually, though that thread started as a discussion about pads for PCs, it turned into hand vs machine and which pad. Several folks there agreed that the foam pads work a bit more effectively than the ones Zaino sells. It'll all be a matter of what works best for you, though.
