Zaino Missing Big Boat

I really don't think the target market of Zaino really wants/cares for/needs larger bottles. They are pretty crafty at covering an entire car with a dallop of wax! Kudos to Sal Zaino for putting it in smaller bottles--people are finally putting on nice thin layers!

I pay attention to how much stuff costs, and am sensitive if i feel i am being taken for a ride.

With that said, i also just buy stuff that i like, and if i can afford 8 bucks to ship even 1 bottle, ill do it and not think about it.

I am not terribly motivated by sales, and im not interested in bundleing stuff together to save on shipping.

I only detail my own stuff and if i want something, ill order it.

So, if a car costs 1000% more than a bottle of Zaino, and i could earn 1000% more than i do now, ya i would pay 15k more for someone to fed-ex a Porshe to my door. Why not?

I certainly dont need bigger bottles of z8 or Z2, they do last forever.

I DO wish i could get Z7 in at least 32 oz. bottles.

I pretty much use NXT car wash because it is just an extreme price difference to do so and easy to buy, and they both are pretty close in quality.

Everyone has valid points. I like the Zaino exclusivity. MIxing doesn't bother me one bit. I try to order more than a couple products at one time to make the shipping worth while. as far as Zaino being expensive, It actually seems pretty cheap to me considering what it does and how well it works. If you compare it to other products it seems expemsive, but Zaino isn't like other products! IMO. I'm just happy the stuff exists!!

As Sal says, his is a "word of mouth" business. This may be the best way to reach high end type enthusiasts and show car folks which seems to be the target market.

Z28-I understand what you are saying and for a perfect car I'm sure Zaino looks great B U T most cars don't have perfect paint. They have scratches and chips and getting them to have a perfect finish is possibly risky or downright impossible. In these cases other products *may/might/do* look better and be more pleasing. I will say that my initial impression of Duragloss was slight disapointment as I feel that initially other products look better than it but it is durable and its holding its looks for several months and growing on me.

Duragloss and Zaino are different products. Not the same. Different companies, different manufacturers.

similar look and the same idea applies- its like comparing two apple pies to each other ;) both are polymers so they are similar

Not necessarily. That's like saying Turtle Wax and Souveran are similar.

But whatever you think...

My goal when adding an LSP is for protection and some hi-lighting. Not artificial depth or wetness but the true "just painted" look.

I guess that is the difference between what you and I consider the 'perfect' finish. You want your cars to look fresh out of the paint booth and with a very durable finish that requires little maintenance. I try to alter the look of the paint to make it deeper, darker and richer, which to me looks better. Sure, I have to play around a bit, tweaking the glazes I use, trying different waxes, etc and have to wax more often. What is important is for each of is willing to take the steps required to achieve our goals and invest the time and money as we see appropriate.

Look at it like performance mods. Some people like to keep their cars completely stock, satisfied with the factory performance and reliability. Others like to extract the very last bit of performance possible, usually at the expense of some reliability. There is no real right or wrong, just what you prefer.

Where does Sal get his base ingredients? What factory are they produced in- A Zaino owned factory? Based on what I've read from people who have used both Zaino and Duragloss they are similar looking, have similar durability and are more similar than they are dissimilar.

Oh and BTW one member claims that Duragloss PBA is compatible with Zaino-sounds pretty similar to me

They must be the same then. I'm gonna run out and buy some Duragloss. Thanks for the tip!
