Haters, that's why :).

baseballlover: 106ff + Z5 Pro + Z8 = an awesome shine/protection.

Is it good protection? My uncles element is orange. He lives in Massachusetts so the car is in for a rough winter. Would that protection be enough?

Ron, post pics! I bet your Zaino'd car looks killer!!! WHere are the Pics!

Well I dont have any Zaino on my car, it is currently wearing (under proper prep) Prima amigo > Jetseal 109 > my home brewed wax.

Sorry if you got the wrong Idea, the reason I said "lost" to zaino is because it seems many zaino users only use zaino, or rather just use everything zaino makes and only add in non-zaino products when zaino does not make that type of product (example: zaino does not make a degreaser, thus they must use a different brand).

With any brand, it annoys me when people go nuts and just use one brand all the time and not always try new things. The reason it annoys me the most with zaino is because it never seems to happen quite as intensely with other brands as it does with zaino.

When people ask me what kind of wax, sealant, polish, clay bar, or whatever they should use I usually list off many brands that are possible, and then describe the upsides and downsides of each brand, where as it seems to me most zaino users will simply tell everyone that asks them (especially on autopia) to use zaino.

Now, not to say this is always true, but many times it seems like this is how it is. For example, if someone asked me to recommend them a tire shine, my response would be something along the lines of: well, for the lowest shine I can think of, try CG natural shine, if you want a tiny bit more shine than that but still a matte finish, meguiars #40 or clearkote vinyl and rubber treatment, however if you want a really long lasting tire product you should try meguiars endurance gel, or ultima tire and trim guard. Whereas (again this is just how it seems to usually go, not always) a zaino enthusiast would simply respond "Z16".

I don't think its all that bad to support one line. It simplifies things. I doubt you'd have issue with someone answering "What sports cars should I get?" with "The new Ferraris." From what I can tell, most if not all zaino products are at the very least good and reliable. I'm not sure most people who ask me about car products want to hear the pros and cons of four or five brands. Maybe its different on Autopia, in which case I can see your point. But this still doesn't negate that its a safe bet.

I hardly think that "a new Ferrari" is the universal answer to "what sports car should I get?", so you're kind of proving Ron231's point for him.

True, but so many autopians just support that one line, so should we all just use zaino and get it over with?

And yes, about the multiple brands, I am generally referring to autopia.

When people support a line it is because it meets their needs or surpasses their expectations. A lot of people don't want 10 different products that do the same thing when a couple are enough. I see posts here where people want product advice and instead of giving the best couple products to meet their needs they get a list of 20 must haves. If you are passionate about your favorite product stick with it.

Many many people have said that zaino's QD, Z8, car soap, leather treatment, tire dressing are the tops they have ever used,

we already know the sealant performs.

whats the problem again?

I was disapointed in my black Zaino shirt. It just isn't optically clear:har:

lol... optically clear? Im sorry am i missing something? lol... if you want a great t shirt, on of my fathers shirt manufacturers is coming out with a REALLLLLLY nice one for next spring. They sent me a sample and it feels amazing! The company is Southern Tide... a great shirt with a GREAT background and an even greater owner.

Anyway does anyone have any responses to the protection question? If thats not that much of protection could i 106ff+z5+klasse sealant glaze+z8? Any other recomendations?

Z5pro or Z2pro are quite durable and a nothern winter shouldn't be an issue. If time isn't an issue I'd suggest 2 or 3 layers for maximum protection. BTW the joke is that Zaino is advertised as "optically clear".

Well, it doesn't appear to me like the Zaino guys instigated some of the commentary here. Although some would sure like to blame it on them. And yes I use Zaino, along with Menzerna, Stoners, Blackfire, Meguiars and others. PS My Zaino T shirt I paid $14.95 for. And my insurance guy tells me it has appreciated in value to $44.95!..PPS Ive never owned a Zaino T shirt!

multiple coats of either z2 or z5 (or a combo) will be enough.

You're not going to get much better than Zaino for longevity and protection (speaking of the Z-2 and Z-5). I haven't been impressed with the longevity of Z-CS, since it doesn't bead well. Even the Zaino site says beading is a sign of longevity, so I'm not sure how to tell if Z-CS is durable.

I may have to stop hanging out here for a while, and just go back to my 135 psycho ninth-graders who I see five days a week. I'm starting to think that it may be quieter there.

No, I don't own any Zaino products, but I would defend the right of someone to purchase and use them. That's what it is all about in the USA, isn't it?

To quote the Stooges, "This house sure has gone crazy!"

Z-2 and Z-5 are LSP's. "Polish" is an arcane usage shared by Duragloss (hmm....) and perhaps a few others for their LSP's...or like furniture polish. I'm presuming it goes back to the days when all you could do for your car was apply a polish (like the Meg's pure polishes), before someone came up with the bright idea of waxes.
