Also, to add multiple layers, do i have to have a curing time on these? I will have two days to do this car. Is that long enouph?

You will need the ZFX curing agent to do more than one layer in a day (up to 3). You should be able to put at least one layer per day without it.

Im going to have to put that in my next order. Now how am i able to tell if it is ready to have another layer applied?

Wait about 24 hours for it to fully cure.

Ok... sounds good.

Be sure to break down the polish FULLY this time (also make sure to use it very sparingly), when you think you are done working it in, work it longer. I could tell from the pictures in some of your other details your machine polishing was not quite right.

I hardly think that "a new Ferrari" is the universal answer to "what sports car should I get?", so you're kind of proving Ron231's point for him.

I believe you've missed my point. It may not be the ultimate, universal answer. But is sure is a safe go to. Sure, I could get intricate and gauge the person's budget and suggest a 911 for $120k, f430 for $150k, lp640 for $200k, Keonegseg for $600k etc. but ferrari's will pretty much compete and do well against any of these.

And thus Zaino is a brand whose product line alone (negating prep material it doesn't include such as polish/compound) can give you stunning results - similar to any mix of any range of any other product.

Zpc + Z5 + Z2 + Z8 will pretty much look as good if not better them most any other finish polish + sealant + sealant + spray combo, if I'm not mistaken. I'm not saying its the best, thats subjective. I'm saying its in the upper echelon.

Granted my notions are correct, I don't see anything wrong with sticking solely with the Zaino line. Your not "lost" if your product line up, though narrow in scope, compliments your car and rivals other line ups.

Just my .02

The people that complain and moan about indiviuduals who choose to use Zaino are far more tiring and "annoying" than Zaino users themselves. Everytime theres a Zaino thread the haters come in and say "here goes another one" "lost another" "blah blah". Lets face it, Zaino is the best and its lonely on top.

As for the multi layering with Zaino, I think all you need to do is

Z-AIO (base)

1 or 2 coats of ZFX with Z-2p or Z-5p

1x Z-CS

Z-8

I did not notice any differance in durability and looks after 5 applications of Z polish.

Been there done that with multi layering, and I think I wasted my time.

Even 1 coat of Zaino will LOOK GOOD and will last you a long time. I just had to figure that out all on my own...

Yepp you were def. right. The past few details ive done (havent posted) i did work the polish completely in. Can i do a wide area with zaino or just like 3 by 3?

PA cant be much colder then VA and im planning on extracting my carpets the day of christmas is i get the durrmaid 2 gal extractor im asking 4... its a big present so im not really expecting it. However my family did say that if i keep my GPA over 3.8 then i get a big christmas present. :) a boy can only hope!

I'm very happy for you following your idea's bblover, keep it up for sure, but don't let it bother your schoolwork as you may grow tired of the detail rigamarad.

Yepp! O im on the AB honer role at school. Ive been told that too many times from my dad. He still doesn't think that detailing is profitable enough for it to be my occupation.

o hes wrong! I could be making minimum wage and if im doing what i like i will always be getting paid enough. I would rather like to be detailing a car for 7.50 an hour over doing something i hate and getting 100 dollars an hour. However i am expecting a little more then 7.50 an hour.

You can make WAY more than that once you build a reputation.

Yepp, thats my plan! Also, when did you guys start detailing? Im 14 years old. If i keep going going then by the time i'm 30 i could be doing very well for myself. The key (or i think it is) is finding the right place for detailing. Roanoke has a very bad market, therefor i couldnt charge what i would want to. If after i get my MBA and i still want to detail i will research a place where the ratio of high end cars to detailers is low. I think palm beach florida would be a good place. Ive been told that there are few pros down there.

I think at 14 you will learn a lot over the next 10 years. When i was 14, I wanted to be an attorney. I even went to law school. BUt it just was not for me. I think over time you will find many things that you lika and are good at. For now, enjoy it for what it is. A hobby, and you will have lots of them in your time.
