some people refuse to accept that muslim terrorism is real and a global problem. calling the war on terror an "overseas contingency operation" is a good example.

I was living in Dallas, Texas and at W.E. Greiner Jr. High School, not far from where President John F. Kennedy was killed on that terrible day, November 22, 1963...

It was an incredibly terrible experience to go through - even as a 14-year old boy..

Everyone - EVERYONE ! was in tears...

The very next day I believe, I saw a picture of this man standing with a group of people there in Dallas - it was Charles de Gaulle, Prime Minister of France !!!
He had come to support America in their time of extreme grief... And NO, apparently, he didn't care if there was going to be a "Demonstration", etc...

Our little wimp-A$$ leader - cant even bring himself to use the words Muslim and Terrorist in the same sentence...
Do you wonder why ????

Sorry guys but...WE ELECT OUR LEADERS so are we to assume this is how "We the People" feel, ie, no one really cares in our country? Sadly, some still live like it's September 10, 2001.

I talk to people all the time about what is happening and they are concerned and puzzled by our leaders, including those who elected the current administration. Maybe when what happened in France happens here, people will realize that there are those who want to do people harm. But, the media and officials will blame x,y, and z and Fail to address the real issues and use it for some other purpose. I say just keep our heads in the sand and enjoy ourselves now but don't be shocked when "things change" and your life changes dramatically.

Just go live your life folks and don't worry about it, nothing like that will ever happen here...right? Before you slam me understand I say it in tongue-in-cheek. Btw, both parties, since that is how the majority of folks view it, are both to blame. There are those who are trying to educate us but they are called names so who cares?

IMHO Obama is a bum. That being said; rallies, marches, etc... really don't accomplish a whole lot. While I'm at it - I'm going to say I'm not a big fan of France either. Where was France when we went into Iraq to get rid of Hussein? Eating snails & soft cheese.

France may be our oldest "allie", but when when push comes to shove, the only people we can count on in Europe for real action is England. They seem to be the only country there with any back bone. Long live the King.

How many more terrorist acts will it take before someone, some country, etc stands up, calls it for what it is and decides the hell with political correctness and goes full assault?

Again, we can attribute that to the people, France in this case, and who they ELECT.

The only problem with that may be the amount of "infiltration" various cells may have. The question is how much death and destruction can they inflict? Furthermore, if events where to occur how much psychological terror and damage will it do?

**********Elections have consequences**********

Oh please, they're making much ado about nothing - our Ambassador WAS at the march: 'The United States is represented at the march by Ambassador Hartley.'

Isn't that the job of our ambassadors? To represent us overseas?

From Wikipedia: An ambassador is an official envoy, especially a highest ranking diplomat who represents a state and is usually accredited to another sovereign state, or to an international organization as the resident representative of their own government

Sorry, but I don't see how we snubed France on this one.

What countries would you invade? The problem is every country we have invaded as of late ends up with a government that is not that better than the one it replaced. Your tax dollars at work and be ready to spend more.

I do not think the march itself proved anything except for the marchers to feel good. Radicals with weapons can do not care. If anything it inspires them.

In the Sandy Hook school shooting, 20 children and 6 teachers died. Since Sandy Hook, there have been many shootings. This is a problem we also need to address.

What does this have to do with the subject matter?
