You guys were right about WalMart MF's

They are super soft.....in fact, they may be softer than MF's that I paid 4 times more for at PremiumAutoCare.com.

Wal-Mart price was 5 for $4.86....I bought 10....(that's all they had). I'll be getting more.

Only drawback is that they are only 14 x 14 rather than 16 x 16.

Good quality though. And passed the CD scratch test nicely.

These towels are really plush. They also seem to have be more "stickier". (They cling to themselves.)

Looks like I'll be hitting Walmart in the next day or two. Where in Walmart did you find them? Automotive section?

I was under the impression that these didn't pass the scratch test???

What was the exact name of these again?

The only MFs I have used are the Viper ones from CMA, 3 for $15.

At 5 for $4.86, you can just throw them away instead of washing them they are so cheap. :up

I believe they were referring to the nicsand towels not passing the scratch test.

I can't recall the name brand right now but if you do a search...............;)

Yeah, I thought they came to the conclusion that these were just reboxed versions of that same company?

I did a CD test when I got mine. They were fine.

They bleed when washed but other than that they are great. I got 10 last week.:D
Nag, you found these up here??? :bow How much did they cost?

They're made by (or called) Concordia apparently. Here's the thread where these gems first came up: http://www.autopia.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=18967

It also covers the Nicsand issue, and they (apparently) aren't Nicsands.

About the CD Test results for products, I've seen various products both pass and fail CD tests by different people. I've never had MF anything scratch a CD so far myself. I guess it's a case of YMMV... :nixweiss

PS: How are you guys finding these for linting?

What is the Manufacturer's name for the MF towels? I next time I am near Wal Mart, I will check them out.

Concordia, blue paper band around 5 towels.

Yes, auto section, under waxes - in "Bargain Bins" along with mechanic's rags, bag-o-rags, etc.

Passed the scratch test with flying colors - hard rubbing, including the edging. adg44 - PLEASE EITHER FIND THE SOURCE OF YOUR "IMPRESSION" OR DELETE YOUR POST. All of the tests I heard on these towels are positive and it serves no useful purpose adding negative impressions. Thanks.

See above, please verify or delete.

GOOD towels, GREAT value as far as I can tell.

The brand name is CONCORDIA. Here a pic of the packaging.

I actually "scrubbed the MF and the edge stitching onto the CD (forcefully) with no scratching both before and after washing....

I bought some of these towels too. They are very very plush with a high pile. Seems like a great deal at only $5.00 with tax for 5 towels.

I picked up another pack today. I figure for $5 you really can't beat it. If they lint after washing then I will use them on my boat and jetski.

If they hold up they will be used for windows, door jams, and wheels.

O.K., so I can't pass up a bargain.

The towels seem to be fine, except for having to remove those stupid tags. The smaller size is something I can learn to live with, but the tag removal just might be enough to make my original purchase, my last purchase of them.

PakShak has spoiled me with his tagless towels. As tight as I am, the $10 difference on 10 towels is probably worth it to not have to remove the tags.

Having both a "plush" side and a "suede" side with the PakShak towels is kind of nice, as well.
