Wisconsin / Illinois Meet

Yes the agenda is kind of set, I have been kind of sick so I haven't gotten that info out yet. Should be coming in a few days. The location will be e-mailed to everyone about 3 days before the meet. If that is a problem please e-mail me and I can get it to you sooner. I believe everyone except one person is with in about 2 hours of the place. If you need more info please e-mail me and I will try and help all I can.

Thanks

Prinz,

DO you wanna caravan up there together? If you have an extra driver, I can drive my MR2 and your partner can drive my Accord there. . .just an idea. . .

if not, it's cool. I'll just bring the beater and we can practice stuff on that thing. . .and I'll leave the good car at home :)

and I'll be happy cuz I will have just gotten it back from the shop getting a double to tripe increase in horsepower at the wheels . . .

:D :D :D

Yah,

Here's part of what I took with me to the shop to get installed (not including parts that are coming on the turbo clip already

:D :D :D

Last I heard (was early this morning) was that my old motor was getting pulled tonight, then I can call autopia member ajbarnes over in Philly (my car is at a shop in Souderton, PA) to detail the engine bay and wipe the car down, then he can start installing the goodies. . .

Hopefully by the 19th (At the latest) I'll be able to fly out there and pick up my car. And if I'm really lucky, we'll have a big rainstorm or 2 to wash all the salt off the road and then I can drive her all the time!

By now you should have all gotten an email from Don stating that we lost out spot for the meet.

I have a suggestion...

How many of you would be interested in a meet if we just held it outside at a park sometime later in the spring? Obviously we would wait until the temperature was consistently in the 60s+. That shouldn't be too hard to find a park with a decent sized parking lot.

Why there's a couple of them in Manitowoc! :D

It doesn't matter to me if it's in Manitowoc or anywhere else, but here's what the waysides in Manitowoc are like:

They have grills available, picnic tables, and a bathroom just down the path. There are several trees that may be able to provide us with some shade as well. The biggest parking lot can probably hold 70 cars, so room is not a concern.

It's right off Lake Michigan too, so it would also make for some nice pictures.

I'm open to any comments.

Hmm a wayside in Manitowoc may not be a bad idea. We have three members in Manitowoc County. It's an easy drive from anywhere too.

Any thoughts/comments?

I'm from Two Rivers, just a few miles north of Manitowoc. The waysides are beautiful in the summertime. They are right on the lake, as close as you can get. Even on the hottest days, it's always comfortably cool on the lakeshore. As it starts to warm up around here, we can count on 60 degree weather.

There are a handful of these rest areas along the way, as Paul said, with shade, restrooms, and tables. They're easy to find as the rest areas are nestled between Maritime Drive (a 4 lane road many take on their way to Door County) and Lake Michigan.

We can make this work!!!

It's very easy to get to the waysides in case anyone is wondering. From the south, take I-43 to exit 152 (Waldo Blvd / Hwy 10) and take Waldo/10 east all the way to the lake. When you come up to the Lake, go left (north) about 1/4 mile.
