Which Waffle Weave?

Well I have the Excel Monterey Waffle Weave Drying Towel, which is the best drying towel i have ever used. Nice and soft. Problem is I only got one to try out and it cant do the whole car. It gets too wet half way 3/4 done. So then i use my Viking yellow MF drying towel that i got in that kit when it was $9.99. Well i wanted another WW from excel, but the shipping is too expensive to buy just 1 thing. So now I ask if there any OTC drying to get that compares? Any WW or maybe something else online thats cheaper. Really dont feel like paying $20 shipped for 1 towel. I dont need anything else either. :hmph:

If you don't want to spend the $ for a second ww, why not just wring out the one you are using?
 
ive used the cobra waffle weaves with some good success. the big 20x40 can dry an entire car without having to be wrung out once
 
You may want to check with the owner on the shipping and request alternative shipping methods? Just a thought, never hurts to ask :)

obviously i have, it just gets too damp/wet to keep drying it. Wont collect the water good.
 
Try a technique called flooding the car what you do is take the sprayer off the hose and run water that way and it will help take some of the water off the car a another option is I get my waffle towels from auto zone the blue ones they are 9.99 and they leave no swirls they are great auto geek has a video on flooding if you want to check it out it is under the how to and go to car washing and watch the video
 
get a electric leaf blower from wal mart...blow the car off first..then your towel will dry the rest no problem...blower cost is 24.00 ..best money spent....I can dry it after with just a small MF blotting the left over water after blowing it off...

never did the leaf blower, always thought i would blow dirt or dust back on the car if i positioned it the wrong way going around the car.
 
so what about EC Detail, that looks like a good deal to get 4 more. i dont even know if im drying the right way besides letting the water shed. The towel is so big, i dont open it all the way, i fold it in a 16x16 or whatever square and just go over the car and flip it to a new side and just do it again. Am i suppose to open the whole towel and dry it so it can get the most water and shortest amount of time?

I beg to differ, at $28.00?.........

A couple drying tips, other then using the sheeting method. After you have rinsed open the trunk and hood. The water beads will flow off while you dry roof and vertical panels.

It is a soft WW, but I really don't care for those pockets...... I'd rather it was just one big towel.



blownvert, I've never tried those other towels so I can't comment on them. I will say that if you like the Monterey that much you should order a few more. I like them so well that I ordered a bunch of them in case they were ever discontinued.
 
USPS states anything over 13oz ships to next level, which is Priority.

Some vendors will take this into consideration, but one must be careful as sometimes customers expect prompt shipping (under 3 days). Customers may be dissatisfied if a vendor takes it upon themselves to alter from Priority (2-3 days) to 1st Class (3-5 days).
