yrebel7tpx said:Try a technique called flooding the car what you do is take the sprayer off the hose and run water that way and it will help take some of the water off the car a another option is I get my waffle towels from auto zone the blue ones they are 9.99 and they leave no swirls they are great auto geek has a video on flooding if you want to check it out it is under the how to and go to car washing and watch the video
SuperBee364 said:This is a great technique. Followed by a leaf blower, it takes much less time to dry than a WW.
AL-53 said:get a electric leaf blower from wal mart...blow the car off first..then your towel will dry the rest no problem...blower cost is 24.00 ..best money spent....

Mindflux said:I tried this a few weeks back with my buddy's GLI. All I seemed to get was water scattering about.I was excited to try it.. we were using his 4 cycle gas blower.. plenty of power.
We ended up mopping up the mess with WW towels.
BigAl3 said:i don't ever consider a leaf blower to be a complete drying method. i mainly use it to blow out water from cracks, seams, windshield wipers, ac vents, wheels/tires, front/back headlights, etc. if you flood the car with the sheeting method, there will be a considerable less amount of water to dry off and one waffle weave is good enough for me to gently dry the car off...

Now these are intended for kitchen use and aren't the pillow plush MF drying towels some sell, but they're 2 towels for about $3 and they are just great for so many things. I have a stack and they've done a whole bunch of ONR wipes.
If you haven't already, you need some of these if only for interior or glass or wheels/tires.
The quality is good and the price is right!
