So then you understand why I did not post anything I've been told, right? I know of Todd and Brian's relationship. I've talked to Todd a couple times as well, seems like a pretty good guy. Same with Brian.



Just curious, how do you know who I talk to? Seems really odd you would know I have talked to Brian even at all. I didn't realize my phone conversations were all that interesting. :nixweiss



FWIW, I talk to Ryan (rydawg) more than anyone else on Autopia and the goings on here are probably what we talk about the least. :secret



Most of the conversations I have had with fellow autopians center about collectively working towards being better detailers. We shouldn't be looking suspiciously at each other, but instead looking for ways to become better at our jobs and elevate our profession in the public's eye.

Not at all dave. There is no comparison to work and skill level obviously. The comment was simply put that Todd is being "put under the bus" so to speak and railroaded like Holden was. Such a shame that it appears even with top skills that no one is excluded from the lynch mob that ensues on here from time to time.
 
Yeah, but with Holden there was proof to substantiate the claims against him.....



And, I haven't noticed any lynch mobs either.
 
I just started this week there, so please lighting up, this helps put food on the table for my family. I would like to thank AG for having Mike and his roadshow class here in Florida, so much great information comes from him and what a great person he is. I think everyone who has the time should go to at least one of his class's and see for yourself. What lynch mob? It appears to me that all his friends and fellow autopians have got his back. Most everyone (that knows anything) is questioning why he was banned, etc. Then there are those of us that know nothing who are just anxiously reading every post, hoping that Todd will be exonerated, and don't want to add to the mayhem. Sure, there's a few peeps around here that didn't/don't like Todd; I'm sure the same can be said for *every* member here, but for the most part, I think we're all supporting him. In fact, I kinda doubt this whole "Where's Todd's Thread" thread would have even been started for just your run-of-the-mill Autopian. It takes someone that is very respected and important to the community to generate this kind of response and support.



Out of 14 pages of posts, I'm seeing a very, very few people that have been anything other than supportive of Todd.



Well, I said far more than I planned on, so I'll shut up now.
 
You would be surprised how many egos get hurt because only so many people view a "pros" detail. If somebody is posting under multiple screen names, they need to be shown the door.

Todd is one in a million. That is what this community will miss. Nobody brought this kind of insight to detailing. Its very sad that someone who was so unselfish would be treated like this. But heck there are plenty of keyboard detailers to rehash what Todd posted here in the past, but there is nothing like the real thing.

The guy works for a company that sells detailing products but does not disclose the info.



He posts C&B's which are nothing more then advertisements for the products that this company sells/makes, again without telling anyone he works for them.



Now the company behind the products is making multiple accounts and doing fishy internet tricks to boost the popularity of his threads all the while creating their own forum, "Truth in Detailing" - ironically enough- , and nothing should be done about it?



Am I missing anything here?

I've talked to Todd a few times, seems like a decent person and an excellent detailer, but c'mon, nobody? What about rydawg, picus, Anthony Orosco, Mike Phillips, Accumulator, Superior Fine and David KG just to name a few?

I really don't know what happened behind the scenes and, personally, I really don't care. All I care about is the fact that his threads were some of the most thorough, informative and helpful threads I've read. If he was trying to push certain products in those threads, I didn't see it.

With all due respect to the detailers you named. Most of them do not have the time to post "detailed" step by step process like Todd did. Now David KG has done some great detailed writeups. I am sure that given the chance a few of the guys you mentioned could very well do writeups on that level. But Scott you know yourself how long it takes to do a very detailed writeup on just one car.



Did you mean Kevin Brown instead of Mike Phillips? Maybe my memory is fading, but I do not ever recall Mike posting here. Kevin's level of "the science" of how M105/205 work is hard to beat.

No, he didn't. Mike Phillips was a regular here before MOL started up, and continued to post for some time after that. Once in a while he pokes his head in here, but not for a long time.

He's been banned for something no one has any proof of. Why?



At 1st his whole post history gets wiped out. Then, people complain how much these posts will be missed and how much they mean to Autopia and now they reappear, but yet he's still banned? Sounds like something else is going on.....

I am actually quite suprised that DavidB has posted anything regarding this whole affair.



Frankly this is no ones business but DavidB and those actually involved. I suspect that they are the only ones that know the whole story....

I don't recall the management ever providing any "proof" when members have been banned for multiple accounts. Why is this so important to you? You've already followed him to his new home.
