IMO, save your cash. Purchase a liquid clothes detergent without bleach, fragrance, softener, etc. and a gallon of distilled white vinegar.

is Tide a good liquid clothes detergent? or depend? would u please tell me couple of liquid clothes detergent w/o bleach, fragrance, softener?

I am confused  need clarify please!.

Is distilled White vinegar a softener? Here is the Source

Ive used Tide, or any clothes detergent on sale without any ill effects. The vinegar is used by some, as a sort of additional detergent stripper, it will help remove any residue left in the final rinse, unlike a softener, which will add a waterproof/softening agent. Ever notice how bath towels with a softener dont really absorb the water when you get out of the shower ? Same principle applies to MF's......

Same thing happens when you Scotchgard your fraternity brothers' or dormmates' towels.

I think that it was Zestyman who did an experiment with WalMart uF versus a more expensive type. If I remember correctly he rubbed both across a blank CD (computer disk - coating is similar to clear coat) and found that the WalMart brand left some scratches.

I have a black Honda and I a certain that the uF towels I bought from Sam's Club leave scratches in my EX-P.

However, this is not necessarily (sp?) the case for everyone and especially for lighter colored paint.

For me? I am sticking with a little higher brand for polishing and Sam's for my wheels, interior, etc.

Just my $.02

Hope I don't get flamed (LOL - just kidding)

Are you saying that the Pakshak, MicrofiberTech, are the same quality as the costco brands ? (The Viper seems to be

the only one you call out as above the rest in quality.

Did I understand you correctly ?

Over the past year I have bought MF towels from all the major on line supliers mentioned in this discussion. And although I will readily admit that towels such as the Viper which go for $12 a copy are ultra plush the MF's being offered at Costco for 8 or 9 bucks a dozzen are equal to almost all the others in ever respect.

Nine bucks a dozzen works out to $ 0.75 a towel !!!

When I wrote "equal to almost all the others" I meant that IMHO the PERFORMANCE of the Costco MF's is equal to the others I have tried. By 'performance' I mean the abiliy to buff, polish or clean clear coat or other delicate surfaces without marring I'm limiting my evaluation of a towel strictly to the job it does (end result) not the color, how plush it feels or any other characteristic .

Oh, by the way: uF = micro fiber. MF = Mega Fiber.
