What's the best OTC product for Really brown tires?

What is the best way to get rid of the brown from my tires? I've been using simple green at 3:1 and scrubing as hard as I can with a stiff brush. It takes 3-5 of these scrubbings to get rid of that brown. There has to be a better way. My arms are sore after one tire. and that's at the start of my detail.

Westley's Bleche White is very similar to Amazing Roll Off and works wonders on brown tires. Get a stiff bristle brush, like that one ^^^, but doesn't have to be on a PC, spray the WBW on, let it sit, then give it a good scrubbing. Sometimes it will take several cleanings to get all of the product off. I recently had to do 4 passes with Megs APC+ to get my Pinnacle Black Onyx that had browned off!
 
Second the Eagle One Wheel and Tire!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Amazing stuff!! You spray it on and watch the brown stuff run off!!!! No scrubbing at all. No comparison to Bleche-White!

The four passes is what I'm trying to avoid. I think I'll pick up some Eagle One.

Megs tire foam (not the extreme shine bs) cleaned my brown tires yesterday, I just sprayed on liberally let it sit for a few till the foam died down, then scrubbed a little. No more dirt :)
 
has anyone here tried both a2z and westleys bleche wite? ive been sticking with westleys cause it comes in gallon form ($12) and works well enough on most tires. some very brown greasy tires take 2-3 passes, but then again even straight apc wont kill the brown in one pass either.
 
I think I am right here. Your tires have a substance in them to keep them black. You are scubbing it off. Do not use a strong cleaner on them if they are brown. Use a tire dressing on them and restore your black. I like Duragloss 253.....
 
The browning of the tires is called "blooming"...and is caused by a chemical (antiozonant) that is added to the rubber during the manufacturing of tires. The purpose of antiozonant is to protect the rubber from breakdown due to ozone...it is a necessary chemical needed to prevent the rubber from cracking. As you drive, the chemical migrates to the tire surface and causes the brown look...there is no need to wash it off...just clean your tires with your usual car wash soap and then dress them...if you dress them periodically (every two or three weeks with, e.g. Hyperdressing) then the browning won't show.

It has never harmed any of my chrome or aluminum wheels. I also never had a problem with the plastic chrome on some hubcaps. We are talking 25 years with NO problems.

Chrome is pretty hard. I'd think it would damage clear coated wheels.
