Than follow up with the Eagle No Drip Tire Gel. This stuff doesn't brown the tires.

Mothers has a tire/wheel cleaner like Eagle. You have to remove the brown by cleaning it first. The directions indicate spray and rinse but it works even better if you agitate to get it in all the crevices (for textured tires) and tread area if nothing else for economy. I have used it and works nicely.

I'd think it would damage clear coated wheels.

Nope not at all. As a matter of fact I just did a Honda mini van today with coated wheels and had Bleche Wite all over them. Didn't hurt them a bit.

So I got some Optimum Power clean today. I know it's not OTC but OMG this stuff rocks. It peels dirt off with one light scrubbing vs. the 5+ heavy scrubbings I was doing with the simple green. Anyone looking for the brown killer, this is the real deal.

I actually tried 303AP on my tires the other day and it leaves a great matte black finish. The rubber was moderately brown to begin with.

Just had a chance to try ARO. I had hyperdressing on the tires, but after a week of dirt roads it needed a good cleaning. The ARO removed the hyperdressing, the mild browning, and really brought out the white lettering on the BFG A/T's.
