What the hell happened?!?!?!

I didnt read through all the posts, but it might have been addresed.

Looking at the Meguiar's forum with the pictures, I say, the most work done was with the polish and NXT. I tried Scratch X on my black 600RR and it didnt do crap. Menzerna IP, FPII was another story.

I will try to do SCratch X on the whole bike again with a PC and see how it comes out, but I am not putting my hopes up.

I suggested to the OP that he use ScratchX because it's readily available, he only had a couple small spots, and he was working by hand. It was made for those purposes. If you are working with a PC, I'm not sure there is any reason to use ScratchX on large areas (although Meg's says you can), certainly IP/FPII would be a good choice.

As far as your comment about the polish (presuming referring to #7) and NXT doing the most to remove the etch, if that is the case, they just filled/hid it...which is sometimes the only option you have if it is really bad. Since the OP was able to remove them with the ScratchX, they should be gone for good (as long as he didn't take off too much clear, which I doubt by hand).

Good job OP. That is alot of work for 2 spots man. 1.5 hours. Dang you could have done the whole car with a PC. ahha

Good dedication.

Well it's a 2 months old black MKV GTI, I couldn't have accepted a lesser result no matter what. Now if the car was 2+ years old then meh ........ I'd have left it to the next time I get my car professionally detailed.

But I do wish that I could have access to a PC, but oh well too bad for now.

Not much help from me but i just cant stop laughing after i see alot of "bird poop" "bird bombs" "bird droppings" words. Hahaha. Polish that out and you are good to go.
