What part do you not like to detail ????

What part of the car do you hate to detail ?

The wheel area is probably my least favorite since I have to mix up a separate bucket, move it around to all four wheels, do the well area, barrels, faces, and tires, and then later dry/dress.

I like and appreciate clean glass so at least I get more accomplishment from clean glass. Very clean wells and barrels is something not seen easily so less able to really benefit.

Im short too. Other than using a soft RV brush or a "mit on a stick"for washing, and a large step stool for everything else, we are just s.o.l.

If you hate doing interior windows you all should really give the CarPro-US Fast Glass towels a try. Soak them in plain water, wring it out and clean your windows. No mess, no cleaners needed, just a towel that was soaked in water.

I am currently working getting a review for these things done. I got one as I was skeptical. But it works so well I bought 5 more. Simply a great product. And it's not MF. It is a weird sort of towels when you first get it. But it works.

Front windshield and rear window, interior and exterior. The sides are easy to get and I have no problem. The front windshield is a PITA being a short guy and rear window. Getting the interior front/rear are the worst. Awkward angles to get it and leaving streaks no bueno.

I love engine bays and everything else. Before I do an engine bay I take detailed pictures of important sensors and such, use that as a baseline to review after it's clean to make sure everything is in the right spot and good to go.
 
Interior windows make me wish I was dead. The worst is when its 100+ out side and your in a black on black mustang cleaning the rear window FML. Oh I hate rear windows in VW EOS as well. I can think of times I almost had a heat stroke trying to get those perfect. Stupid top wont stay at half open on that car ERRRRR. Don't know if you guys can tell I have some really salty feelings for rear windows in little cars.

I hate nothing yet ! Course i'm a detailer :cool:;) . What i do NOT like is that people want their car clean and polished like a mirror , and after a few weeks they run their car through a carwash. :wall And guess what... They are came back and asked why the scratches returned.:crazy2:
 
I guess I am the only one so far that voted paint, the reason for that is I have a black car, need I say more!

I guess I do, the reason I said exterior is as careful as I try to be I seem to be able to swirl or micro mar it with ease. Hours of polishing and it seems like they are harder to come out than they went in. In the one year I have had the car I have just done a second polish for the summer and not done yet. I think if I added up the time I spent cleaning my last 3 vehicles combined in 20 years it would not even add up to the time I have spent keeping this car clean. :wall:wall:wall:wall :rant:

Been there. Keep swearing I'll never do it again. Did it again, repeated procedure numerous times

Well, I can say I learned my lesson. When I bought it I had never owned black before and never paid any attention to other black vehicles either. Was even told by a number of people that black is hard to keep clean. When I bought it I was actually looking for a blue but the Camaro last year only had Imperial Blue and that I thought was too dark blue for me so I said why not black how bad could it be. :lol2: Now I know it is bad. I now know this will be the first and last black car I will own. Bad thing is I keep a car on average of 8 years. Oh well I will enjoy it while it lasts.

Are you real close to Minnesota so I can drive over and you can do a polish for me. :lol2:

Don't get me wrong I do love how awesome it looks when it is clean but am getting to the point it is driving me insane to get there this spring.
