Believe it or not, I detail as a form of relaxation. I can spend an entire day detailing one of our vehicles from top to bottom and inside and out. I've been doing this for 40 years and as time progressed my skills and ability have progressed along with it.
Generally speaking my vehicles are in pretty decent shape. This is my 1999 Dodge Dakota that I've owned since new. I detailed a week or so ago, not bad for 11 years old.

I've done some relics through the years that when I got done with them I didn't know what or who actually won but they looked great in the end!
I've never detailed for income but more for the enjoyment of turning an ugly duckling into a beautiful swan. It also got me lots of tools and detailing products!!
You and I are on the same page, Bobby. Detailing for me is more of a hobby, rather than a source of income. I find that detailing relieves stress for me and also helps to keep me from being a permanent couch potato. I also love the look on people's faces when they pick up their vehicles.
Paint correction for me is my favorite part of detailing.
BTW Bobby, what do use on your mirrors? They look great.
