What are your top 4 QD's in order of preference ????

Mine

FK425

OID

QUICKSHINE

MG #34 OR FINAL FINISH seems to have a little more cleaning qualities

Mothers Showtime

ONR

Megs UQD
 
Adam's Detail Spray for versatility

Griot's Speed Shine for ease of use

Meg's UQD/135 for protection and cleaning

Z8 for looks and protection





Other notables include the Sonus offerings, Meg's #34, Optimum's QD, both SCG QD's, Mother's Show Time, Z6... I'm sure there are some I am missing.

Duragloss gets the nod as it's right on par with OID but never have the streaking problems I sometimes get with OID. Meguiar's after that-fantastic sprayer, great smell, good compliment to a base wax. ONRQD -ehhh all I can say is I go through this quicker than any QD. Probably due to using it as clay lube, but use it everywhere else too.



I'm sure if I had the chance to use FK, pinnacle, WG, Adams, PB I'm sure they'd be at the tops of the list too. As for OTC, probably the DG, Megs and Surf City hands down.

Because variety is the spice of life? Sorry, couldn't resist :chuckle:



I see it like my tools; I could probably get by with one wrench (or whatever) in each size, but sometimes a specific one from Facom/Craftsman/Snap-On/SK just seems better for a specific job than any of the others even though they oughta all be the same :nixweiss



Mine top four QDs are:



FK425 (over most sealants)

Griot's SpeedShine (over most waxes)

#34 (when I want a "clean" QD and between polishing/etc. stages)

4 Star UGE (over UPP on the S8)



Those are all significantly different IME, wouldn't want to substitute one for another (though IMO that UGE isn't all *that* different from FK425).



And I have a few more that I like for specific situations, including QuikShine.
 
I still like the unique cinnamon smell of Mothers Showtime but my go to detailer (no shine) is PB Spray and Wash and ONR but Mothers is cheap as any if you get OTC with decent slickness/gloss.
