So I finally was able to inspect my buddys new paint on his challenger.
He says its called matte clear
I tried to reach the painter twice to no avail. It looks matte in appearance, no gloss to it. Looks good.
Within 3 seconds i see this
Some scuff mark, took the `matte clear` with it
you might have noticed it too in the first pic
Then I start inspecting the lines..and see this...
Nevermind the wax or polish buildup the body shop or someone else left
I asked him if they wrapped over the paint ans he said no.
Now I am not a painter, but is that possible?
It was thick, like one of those clear bra wraps.
I`m trying to figure this thing out. I`m confused.
I don`t see how that could not be a clear wrap type material.
Anyone have any ideas/thoughts?
One of these days he`s going to trust me to work on it and I`m not sure what I would do with that area if I had it in my garage at this moment.
Thanks.
