Opportunity of a lifetime? I just received a call from a gentlemen who asked if I could detail 124 cars in two weeks.........Thats 17 cars a day. I was so stunned at the offer, I didnt even ask what it entailed! I dont know if it was a wash or wash and wax...........I would think a wash tunnel would be more appropriate.

I told the guy Im booked through May. He wanted to know if I knew of anybody that could help him out. I dont think i do!

yea this is true. It is definitely a headache, its too bad he called and needed service right away, you would think a guy w/ that many details needed would call a month or 2 in advance.

Is he a dealer?

Patrick you didnt atleast ask about what he wanted done and how little was he going to offer....:chuckle:

where is he located...i think that a team of ten people should be able to get the 17 per day done no problem, especially if its wash and waxes only

count me in

If you're just washing and waxing(+claying), it can be done with 3-4 people in 1 day. If you assembly line it, it's alot easier. 1 person washes and clays, 1 person applies wax, 1 person removes wax and the spare person helps out where needed. I'd eat that work up. The biggest profit comes in volume with low overhead/expenses.

Patrick,

Call Joe at Superior Shine. He's done big projects before. Did you see his thread on MOL about (cleaner) waxing 40 (I think) buses? I recall he put a team togeter and bought 6 PCs!

Guys, I physically, dont have the time!! (I think)

I may call him back tomorrow for some additional nfo though....I mean who owns (business) 124 cars?

Hey I am always looking for work, I am in Orange county and know a couple people (detailers) who would probably be down to come too.
