Geez, that 2nd picture is making me dizzy!

Me too. Great shot of an incredible car and paintjob.

All that money and the engine bay looks untouched as far as paint goes. ??

It IS beautiful though, if it were mine I'd polish the aluminum in the engine to accentuate the shiny-as-all-hell paint.

Isn't having too much clear a bad thing? Wouldn't it make the paint more prone to cracking after a door ding or something like that? I know for a show car its probably fine, but I thought I read somewhere that too many clear coat layers is a bad thing.

From the looks of the paint and the cost, it was probably wetsanded between each of the 12 clear coat layers so the actual resulting paint depth wouldn't be too much.

Edit-should have read page two before I replied! Oh well, just goes to show great minds think alike. :)

Ahhhhhhh, the lost art of quality workmanship! Looks great man!

It's not so much of a lost art, it's more of a case of not to many people being able to afford it. :D

Hours and hours had to go into that car to get it smooth enough to that kind of reflection. Great job and an outstanding car.:xyxthumbs

damn it I think I wet myself...BEAUTIFUL! Glad HotRodGuy resurected this thread or I probably never would have seen it. What else can you dig up?! :p

Uh oh.... Come on guys. Keep it peaceful. There are some pretty fast TT Supras out there. I grew up on the big block cars. As a matter of fact my dad had a 65 and 68 GTO. He now subscribes to import muscle. Yes, a Supra can be built to rip pretty much anything you can buy and hop up for less money. The real nice thing about them is after you build them, you can still smog them in Cali!

To reiterate what SpoiledMan said, let's keep things civil in this thread. I have already deleted the comments by Antonio Wright because they were quite inflammatory. If I see any more statements like that I will not hesitate to lock and remove the thread.

On a different note, where's a drool smiley when you need one?

I dont know what to say! That is definetly the best paint I have ever seen laid down. I would guess probobly 4-6 hours per coat went into that car.

Awesome!!!!

That goat is sick!!! It just goes to show, that if you have the money, you can get the results you expect.

Question: Can you get a similar shine from a stock finish if you wet sand it?

What was done after the paint cured, materials, waxws, machine or hand--how will the car be taken care of--I assume garaged and only showed on occasion.

Let's see...a couple coats of Turtle Wax and throw an old blanket over it??
