Overboard? Don't try to make something out of nothing.
It's a small percentage of people on here that use Spotless Wash/Di filtration. Not because it's not a good way to wash but because it's not practical for most for many different reasons. Just because it's a feasible solution for you doesn't mean it is for many others. It's not for most and that's not debatable.

His reply wasn't off-topic and simply provided another perspective (totally appropriate IMO). It may just be me, but I figure the more, the merrier when it comes to info/suggestions in threads like this.
Since the thread starter asked what towel to use for a regular wash or ONR wash the reply was not only off topic but couldn't have been more so.
As for "the more the merrier when it comes to info/suggestions in threads like this" I don't agree. The suggestions should be in the scope of what was asked. For example, if the person asked what wax holds up best in the rain and you suggest don't drive in the rain your answer is of no use. If not driving in the rain was an option for the person he obviously wouldn't. In this thread if a spotless wash was on option and he didn't need a towel to dry with he wouldn't be asking what towel to use.
