Waffle or regular Microfiber towel for Drying?

....I think you're going a little overboard here. First, whether DI filtration is an effective, feasible solution depends on the individual. ....it just happens to be in my case.

Overboard? Don't try to make something out of nothing.

It's a small percentage of people on here that use Spotless Wash/Di filtration. Not because it's not a good way to wash but because it's not practical for most for many different reasons. Just because it's a feasible solution for you doesn't mean it is for many others. It's not for most and that's not debatable.

Also, the OP asked folks what fellow members used to dry their cars during "regular" washes and when using ONR. His reply wasn't off-topic and simply provided another perspective (totally appropriate IMO). It may just be me, but I figure the more, the merrier when it comes to info/suggestions in threads like this.

Since the thread starter asked what towel to use for a regular wash or ONR wash the reply was not only off topic but couldn't have been more so.

As for "the more the merrier when it comes to info/suggestions in threads like this" I don't agree. The suggestions should be in the scope of what was asked. For example, if the person asked what wax holds up best in the rain and you suggest don't drive in the rain your answer is of no use. If not driving in the rain was an option for the person he obviously wouldn't. In this thread if a spotless wash was on option and he didn't need a towel to dry with he wouldn't be asking what towel to use.

The OP was specifically asking about a filter he can attach to the hose... 80% of the replies here suggest rinseless wash which is a great idea but doesn't really answer his question

Wash a big SUV (like escallade) by yourself with really hard water (>300 ppm) and I guarantee you'll get spotting.. once you let water that hard dries you'll need at least a qd to take the spots off...let it go just 5 minutes under the sun and you'll need your buffer

I live with 345 ppm water and washing it was as if I slowly letting the car rot with waterspot build-ups....I put an RO system in place and washing feels more like washing than ever...sorry if it's hard to understand but if you experienced washing with really hard water like mine then you can relate..

I totally understand that. I never said spotless washes weren't great things. In your situation it's a life saver to have but recommending one to the thread starter is pointless since it doesn't address his concern of what type of MF to use to dry with. It's just implied that the guy is going to be drying and he specifically mentions ONR.
