I don't know what happened but I can't seem to get this marring out of my vw golf's clear coat, maybe I'm being much too anal. I have a metabo rotary, pc 7424, edge 2000 pads, Optimum Polish and compound, ssr 3, 2.5, 1, menzerna IP. I just stopped trying cuz the optimum polish and any pad combo wasn't working, I started with a green pad at 1500rpm on the rotary, didn't make a dent...no extra marring not much removed. Tried a pass with the PC on 5.5 and some opt pol., no better, moved to a yellow pad on PC no luck. Should I try the optimum compound on the rotary, PC? I've never had such a problem removing marring, I feel like I became a total n00b today. Could it be the sunlight? maybe being overzealous and working too large a section? I wonder if the edge 2000 pads just aren't for me, I use to use pads from properautocare, but switched to edge 2000 for easy of centering. It's driving me nuts, so any help is appreciated.
I do have to say I love how easily optimum polish wipe's off.
