1. 106ff with a purple foamed wool pad with slow speed and medium pressure. Foamed Wool 6.5 inch Polishing/Buffing Pad
2. SIP with an orange pad around 1800rpm and very little product. Menzerna Super Intensive Polish, Menzerna PO 83 , Mernzerna PO85RD 3.02

Other problems include the carbon fiber body panels that generate static when wiped and then cause everything in sight to cling to them. Yet another issue is the fact that you need to be careful wiping off polish and wax residue. Too much pressure and bam, you've created another scratch. This can be a real challenge because you need some pressure to remove the oils from the stubborn carbon fiber. My C6 does not behave like any other car I have worked on. It can be a real pain in the a$$. Here's the real kicker. After spending days and weeks perfecting the finish, don't get too close because vettes are covered in orange peel. But they do haul a$$.
