Using a Glaze?

Wondering who is using a glaze on their cars?

I have some 3M imperial hand glaze but have not used it much, seems real hard to remove.

Anyone have glazes that they like and does it add to the bling, bling?

I have only used a couple of glazes, but the one I like the most is the Wax Shop's Super Glaze. Easy to use and it does look nice. I tend not to use glazes too much (hardly ever if under a sealant), but when I do I like this stuff.

I like to use adams Brilliant spray glaze. I really like the extra look it gives. It always gives me a very wet look.

I have used Meguiar's #7 and ClearKote's Vanilla Moose. I liked them both but I found the Vanilla Moose easier to work with. If I have the time I always put a glaze on. To me it adds bling!

The only glaze I have ever used is Clearkotes Red Moose Machine Glaze. It looks awesome on my black cars and goes on and comes off super easy.

my vote for adams. only used 2 glazes. imperial hang glaze and adams bsg. imperial is harder to work with but gives a dark wet glow while adams bsg give a very glossy, wet, SHINEY finsh...imperial hand glaze for black (nothing better than making black blacker!), bsg especially for red and other colors u might wanna put a glaze on.

bsg for windows as well. and chrome! and smooth plastic!

Dave,

I like a glaze underneath a fine carnauba on darker colored vehicles. My favorite is Meguiar's #81 (Pro Hand Polish). I think it adds addtional wetness, gloss and depth on dark colors.

I have used #7 and RMG, #7 produces a nicer look, RMG is easier to use, neither one makes the paint look amazingly better ontop of a perfectly prepped finish.

Maybe a 3-5% better look then what the wax would do alone.

:bigups Ohhh yeeeeaaah! #81 is one of my favorite "knock your socks off" products when doing some high end dark vehicles with owners that care. Can be a pain in the arse but when you have it all removed, man does it look good. How do you apply? Me, PC/excel blue/4.5/let haze/wipe/let haze/wipe clean. Just curious.

Thanks all I'm going to get some then, I still have some 3M but that stuff is hard to remove. I do like the look of a glaze topped with carunba......Another thing is most glazes I see have fillers so if you have a few swirls that are masted, not that I like that but sometimes it just easier.

i have only tried P&S VELOCITY GLAZE and i hate the stuff .. i tried it last year and it clouded up my freshly detailed pickup then i bought it again this year and same result. and i dont understand the use for the product . very oily and unpredictable .. ill pass on the glazes

I read this alittle too late. I used #81 yesterday, but only wiped once and I ended up with streaks. Next time I used it I will definitely wipe a couple of times. This stuff sure does add a deep wet shine, just seems to have a learning curve to it tho. Any other advice would sure be welcome.

I like Americanshine California clear coat. Very wet and can be used in direct sun.
Pretty good stuff.

I use Presta 1500 Glaze. Sometimes I use the Presta 2000 Glaze. Difference is they state that the 1500 removes 1500 scratches and the 2000 removes 2000 grit scratches.
