Using a Glaze?

For years I used Meg's #7 but I found it difficult to remove. I have invested in some 3M Imperial Hand Glaze which I used when my paint wasn't fully cured and it looked nice. But now it has NXT on it so I don't use it.

My other (Zainoed) car doesn't get glaze. Just Z5 when I want to fill in minor swirls.
 
Can you put glaze over a sealant when you're going to top it? I was wondering because I might want to try it and don't want to mess up my finish.

If you want a great glaze that is easy to use and fills well than Mothers Sealer and Glaze is excellent. It's inexpensive and easy to get too. Much better than Megs #7 and 3M IHG.

I use VM as pre-wax cleaner more than as a glaze. It has abrasives and chemical cleaners in it so it's not really a glaze despite it's name. When I think of a glaze I think of an oily non abrasive product that fills and adds wetness underneath a wax. VM is an awesome product though. I have used VM to clean than Mothers Sealer and Glaze to glaze than S100 wax and it looked great.

Good question. I have spot-used glaze here and there to remove/fill in light swirls and scratches without any problems but I haven't applied to the whole car. I know that what you don't want to do is put the glaze under the sealant itself. Perhaps someone can enlighten us on that one.

Now I use Scratch X to spot-fix light marring, scratches, etc. Now that Zaino has come out with a cleaner/polish I'm going to try that. For my NXT car I've used Color X.
 
I meant in between the sealant and the wax. It might work, I was wondering if anyone has tried it before. My biggest concern was that it would cause the wax layer to not stick to the finish of the car due to a bonding issue between the sealant and the glaze, that would ruin my day. I guess I'll try it, if it doesn't work, oh well.

VM adds bling to almost everything. Before I wasn't very
impressed with it. But now, I keep as my go-to on cars
that will get the extra TLC.

Funny, before I started visiting sites like this, all I ever used
was glazes. Then I came here and the other site, and started
to feel like I was cheating. Well, after almost an entire year
of chasing scratches and swirls with Menzerna, Poorboys SSRs',
3m Fine cut, and HT levelers, I've come to the conclusion that
most folks I do this work for will ony take it back the the local
"tunnel of paint death", and return it to me months later. So now
I am back to using glazes to supplement my polish work;
the cars get a full polish, once or twice for the year, and then I use
a glaze for the remainder of the year. Ironically,
most folks seem to like the look glaze offers over just a good
polish. Another plus is I spend less time having to go from
heavy to light polishing.
 
I use 3M Imperial Hand Glaze and I love it. I apply it, and remove it with my PC 7336SP. Next time I glaze I'm going to try multiple applications. I have read on several sites that adding more than one application gives an extra deep gloss.
