Ultimate Hose Nozzle

Here is something, which IMHO is way better:

Advantages:



1. Start the flow of water one handed

2. Full rubber tip...no scratches

3. Small...gets into tight places

4. 100% leak proof. I have left the water on for over a week and zero leaks

5. Can control the volume of water easily





Being small this nozzle can easily get inside my alloy wheels and inside the engine compartment. :)



These "fancy" nozzles give great spray patterns, but what good is a spray pattern if you can't get the water where you need it?
 
Tried mine for the first time last night and I'm very pleased with it. Huge volumes of water for pre-wash wetting and rinsing. The jet setting is not quite as strong or as tight as a brass nozzle, but there is enough to shoot a tight, almost solid stream the length of my truck and keep most of the water inside a wheel.

I like those nozzles also, the local Home Depot used to carry them but no longer do. As you noted they are super safe but they melt when they get too close to a heat gun:shocked

Glad to hear the nozzle works for you, mine is doing just fine and found out itis very tough also. Kinda ran over the very end of it and no damage:up Although if it had not been attached to the hose it may have lodged itself in my assistants forehead:scared :D

I picked up the Home Depot (Bon-Aire) version over the weekend and I used it last night for the first time. I really liked it. Turning it on just a bit produces a large volume of water that does a fantastic job of rinsing the car and provides great sheeting action. This really cuts down on drying time.



It was easy to operate and because I use a chenille sponge I just drop that in my rinse bucket and have both hands available to use the nozzle. I don't miss the pistol grip nozzle at all.



Seems very well made and the rubber grip is soft and easy to operate. Plus you can drop it on the driveway without worrying about breaking it.:xyxthumbs :xyxthumbs
 
Kind of nice that someone brought the thread back to life. Just got back from Target where they have the Fireman's Nozzle for $7.99. I think it's usually $10.
 
I have had my Griot's nozzle for about 5 years and truly love it. Looking at the photos the ultimate nozzle is the same as the one from Griot's. To add insult to injury, when I purchased mine I also bought the corresponding shut off valve. If I'm not mistaken the 2 cost approximately $100.



On another thread I stated that Griot's products were very good but a bit pricey. I would like to change that to read "products were very good but the prices rediculous"

Is anyone using a shower foam gun when they wash per Accumulator's Non Marring Washing Technique? If so, how's it working for you? I may try to track one down at Lowes or a small hardware store or I'll have to go hunt for where online he said he got his.

I did the S8 with it the other day, and I gotta warn you, my technique is *not* easy. But IMO it beats polishing out scratches. You can also just use the SFG to fill the mitt and then let the soapy foam seep out of it while just barely whisking it over the paint. Same principle, works pretty well.

Thanks! The latter sounds more attractive, might prevent an unsightly accident a newbie may make while washing a "good" car for the first time using this technique :o :scared

That looks like the same one I got from lowes for $20 and its been great .. Have had it for over a year and I'm not easy on them .. I shut off and drop..



Mine shuts off twisting in either direction .. let us know if this one does .



BTW TOTL needs a better proof reader .
 
They are not the same nozzle. I think TOPTL is made by Nelson.



Shutting off in either direction is a VERY NICE feature I couldn't live without now that I have had both styles.

very true. i just bought the craftsman hoze nozzle ($20) and if ANYTHING goes wrong, i can just bring it back to ANY sears and get a new one (even if it's my fault!) ;)
