I'm going to apologize in advance, the photos I shot were rather rushed, and limited. The weather was crappy and I wanted to put more effort into the gig than the photos. That being said, here is a 14k mile young, Spice Red 08 GXP. The owner wanted my Stage III package in lieu of the GONE event in Iowa. Total time invested was 9.5 hours.

Interior:

• Doors/plastic cleaned with Meguires Interior APC

• Leather seats/arm rest cleaned with Adam's Leather Cleaner

• All surfaces thoroughly conditioned with Adam's Leather Conditioner for a rich, satin black finish and UV protection.

Engine/Wheels:

• Pressure rinsed to remove loose particle, then foamed down.

• Agitated with various brushes and heavy grease removed with Grime Reaper.

• Exhaust cleaned/polished with P21S polishing soap.

• Painted engine surfaces polished with Griots 3" polisher/white pad and Adams Fine Machine polish.

Exterior:

• Foamed down with mix of APC and soap (this was to cut any existing wax).

• Clay barred to remove any (and there was VERY LITTLE) contamination.

• Foamed and washed one more time then dried with Adams Gold towels (old school, they are white now)

• Paint polished with Flex 3401 D/A, Adams white pad and Fine Machine Polish; topped with Blackfire Wet Diamond sealant.

• Tires coated with TufShine tire clear coat.

^50/50 shot under halogen lamp after machine polishing the left side with Adams Fine Machine Polish, right side untouched.

Nice job. What is your take on the G8 paint? The one I did seemed to have very soft paint for a GM (pseudo gm I guess).

Oh man I wish I could see some sun shots of that baby. What a great color. Real nice correction on that 50/50.

Car looks immaculate. Great work.

I really like the G8. And it looks awesome in that color.

Did you cover anything in the engine bay. Just wondering how aggressive you got with the pressure washer. It looks immaculate.

Very soft! I did a test spot on the car with Megs Finishing wax on a green pad and then another spot with the Adams white/Fine polish. The fine polish cut just a bit better, but it was impossible to photo the differences so I negated to post it. It's very soft-it's not GM paint, it's Holden (Australian) paint.

thank you, the owner has a show to drive it to over 400 miles away, so hopefully he'll be able to clean her up there and toss me some sun shots!

I love the G8, this was my first time in a GXP and i was shocked how much torque it had when I rode it around the block. My company, third_shift|studios custom car emblems, makes a lot of dress up stuff for that car and it's a cool platform to work on. I did wrap some aluminum foil around the alternator-it's at the bottom of the block and you can't see it from my photos. But that's really the only thing I was concerned for.

Nice work Jaison for a 1-step job!

The tire clear cote gives one of the mattest finishes I have seen in a while.

Thank you, G8 paint is super soft-it's not traditional GM paint since they are actually made by Holden in Australia.

Depends on the tire. Soft tires will absorb the shine a lot more (and i did two coats) while others will have higher gloss:

Sick. Your documentation skills are improving tremendously. Very cool pictures.

Thank you! I wanted to shoot more, but like i said, crappy conditions prevented some documentation.

Very nice, Jaison! Those are some seriously rare rides.

One tip, though: it's "Meguiar's," not "Meguires." ;)

Yes, G8's are sex on wheels, and like i said-this GXP had some mega torque. I'll have to make a macro of the correct spelling, i normally just say "megs"

Great work Jaison. The GXP is such a menacing car, I'd love to have one. But I just couldn't imagine having a GXP with an automatic!:nono:

No kidding. The whole point of the G8 GXP was the availability of the TR6060.
