Just for anyone interested. I finally just about finished up my trailer over the weekend. I bought the Shurflo park model that runs of A/C power. All their others ran off of DC current. Anyhow it pumps about 3.3 GPM with pretty decent pressure. It has a pressure switch that kills the motor at 45 PSI built in therefore it's called an "on demand pump". I think it works great. I was going to try the gravity feed aproach ( well I did), and it didn't work as well as I had liked.
I also wanted to have water pressure similar to using a regular garden hose so this is great. I have the pump monuted on the wall about a foot and a half above the floor and run through a switch (which took a couple of trys to get right and sparks went flying!).
All I can really say is it works great. Only time will tell how long it will last. It is very quiet and only runs when your actually using water, as soon as you let go of the trigger from your hose sprayer it almost instantly has enough pressure in the hose to turn off the pump (it takes less than one second).
Gravity feed just doesn't provide enough water flow IMO.
That's all! Just for those who may have been interested in an update and follow up. Feel free to shoot me any questions.
