The Softest Plushest Thickest Microfiber Towel?

apx $3 a piece versus apx $2 a piece for the euros? (not including shipping):nixweiss

To me it wouldn't make sense to judge them on a price per towel basis. The Chemical Guys Fluffer towels are 16x24 (384 square inches per towel). The Eurow's are 12x16 (192 square inches per towel). You might notice that CG towels are exactly twice the square inches as the Eurows are per towel. So one 6-pack of CG towels are the equivalent of 12 Eurow towels. So I then ask you, 10 Eurows for $21.19 or the equivalent size of 12 Eurows for $17.95?

Of course there are other factors too. The CG towels are different on each side. The longer thread side is better for drying/quick detailing/rinseless washing and the shorter side for buffing and windows. With the Eurow you've got the same on both sides and will need something else for buffing. CG also lists theirs as a 70/30 blend. Eurow doesn't say if theirs is 80/20 or 70/30 or what. So to me it seems the CG Fluffers offer a cheaper price per square inch and more versatility.

Well, all I can say is do like the rest of us and order your self a few dozen of all the ones that come out which seem to be the latest and greatest and compare for your self, if you read thru these the posts, eurows are well liked but like everything YMMV.

it's good to have a variety of mf towels for different tasks, either way you can't go wrong with a pack of the eurows (you'll find use for them)...

I used my new Danase Phat towels today and was very impressed. They are super soft/plush and the Water Devourer really does soak up a lot. I was able to dry an entire car with one of the smaller towels.

In bath towel size too....oh no , more purchases...

but wait: tell the wife we can use these in the shower bathroom.....:dance

My wife knows me better than that. Anything that gets used on the car is "too good" to be used in the house. :chuckle:

The softest and highest quality MF towel I have used so far have been from Adam's. Unfortunately they are one of the most expensive, at about $10 each.

I found them on clearance at a Corvette vendor who are no longer carrying Adam's products so I got them for about $7 each.

I've been looking to find out where Adam's is getting them from but have not been successful yet. They do look similar to the ones on the DD website.

I just got my first order of these - WOW. I'm so ticked that I only ordered one pack. $9.24 shipping on $21.19 towels? I KNEW I should have ordered 2 packs. Can't wait to try them tomorrow - thanks everyone for the great advice as usual.

wait till you wash & dry them, they'll fluff right up and be ready to go... :up

Ok guys, now tell me where I can get some quality WW towels that are as much of a steal as the Viking green and the Eurow Shags. I did see the Eurow WW ones at Costco and they look more like a dish towel. From just feeling them, I wouldn't use them on paint.

the mainstays WW from Walmart's houseware section

are a steal and are great on most paints

I bought a pack and they linted like crazy. I washed them right when I got them with nothing else in the washer. I even ran an empty cycle before just to make sure. Did I just get a bad batch?

i only like to use the ultra-soft waffle weaves and my favorite ones are the CG's, they are softer than any other waffle weave i've tried and still are very soft after many numerous washes. but for the price, these can't beat... Excel Monterey Waffle Weave Drying Towel patrick's service rocks too! :up

also... kragen just got a smaller version (24x24) of the excellent gold viking x-large microfiber drying towel as well, for those who prefer something a little smaller and not the big cumbersome size (works perfect after you've sheeted/flooded as much water off)... :2thumbs:

Thanks BigJimZ28 & BigAl3 - I'll head out tomorrow and see what I can round up. We don't have Kragen in Dallas, but I'll check out O'Reilly.
