This is it! Detail Fest weekend is here and Detail City members will be in attendance and this is the official update thread! Check back here often as DC members post updates and photos from Detail Fest.

The 5th Annual Autogeek Detail Fest is a car show, detailing seminars, vendor trade show, party and so much more! Make it in person if you can and if you can't, enjoy the updates in this thread!

Thanks Dwayne for keep us that can't attend in the loop!

As a pic request, can you get some of the ladies at this event? I know what Pockets, Steve and Ron look like already...LOL

Have a great time!

I don't see the Chinese, but it does look like they caught you taking a nap. And after all that baggage handling. :passout:

I agree on the nice looking bowling shirts. Where are pics of this infamous foot? :)

Couple of nice looking car shots to start out from Ronkh.

Looking forward to more updates.

A detailed UPS truck?

Quite possibly the most literal use of "You can polish a turd...." I've ever seen!

What can brown do for you? :rofl

copied my post from AGO:

Folks, DO NOT miss this next year!

I know that I speak for every forum member who attended today when I say "Thank you" to Max and everyone who made Detail Fest possible. This is a first class event.

Not your average weekend car show/detail meet, it is obvious that Autogeek spends months on the planning, logistics and coordination of Detail Fest. Mostly, the plain old hard work required to pull this off is impressive. (Meghan, get some sleep! And, yes that is a compliment! LOL!)

If you're concerned about getting your money's worth, fuggetaboudit! We received so many free products that both an Autogeek box and a Griot's bag were required to haul away the swag. Then the individual manufacturers also kick in some great samples. I'm guessing that I'm $150 in the black on the day.

Hey, free stuff, what's not to like? But that's not the best part of DF. I talked with friends that I see maybe only once a year. I met for the first time some "old friends" that I've known on the forums for years.

I had a chance to speak with people from about a dozen different auto care products companies... owners, inventors, chemists. DF is like a grad school seminar in detailing.

And the cars... WOW!

Thanks again, guys. I really enjoyed it.

Jay

Now if ya can get the shipping down to a timely manor, sales might be better. Fla, the slowest state to ship from, why??? :yikes:

All you have to do is plan to use your new product a week and a day after you order it. :notme: I always track my package and it seems to sit in Atlanta for WAY too long.

Detail Fest sounds like a real fun time and thanks for the pics guys.
