The Official 2010 Autogeek Detail Fest & Car Show Update Thread

I could not stay for the whole day, but did I see a picture of Harleyguy (Adam) receiving a trophy for his black vette? If so, well deserved! That is one awesome car!

And, to whomever owns the Camaro SS (above)... UNBELIEVABLE!

It was my first Detail Fest I have attended and I give it 5 stars. It was alot more then just a car show. All the vendors giveing away freebies and free advice which was priceless. I just wish I could have gone to Sundays event which you get to try out the products they sell. Thanks to Buster for showing me around and interducing me to many great people. thanks to Garry from Premium mobile services for the advice. I will take you up on that Hands on offer in the future.Thank you to the Autogeek staff and the Vendors..

The ribs....The ribs.... Where is my local BBQ?

The engines compartments could be my dining room. I love the bling!!!

Maybe someday I will attend. Thanks for the pictures!!

Color me nostalgic, but I agree. Really, really nice.

Slap a set of period correct wheels on that Rallye Orange Chevelle (?)!

Nothing wrong with the wheels on it (Boyd Coddingtons if I'm not mistaken)... and I think that's Hugger Orange :rockon

Actually they were Foose wheels.

Funny thing is he had some pdr done on it. Guy warned him there would be problems (so i heard). Well there was. A dime size chip got popped out. Rigt above drivers door, just a touch over the rain gutter.

Hugger Orange? Hmmm...could be....Think about an older friend who had a late 60s Z28, white with orange rallye stripes - could have been Hugger...dunno  What I do know is that he demonstrated the term G-force to us doing the Esses on Skillman. :D

Don't care Coddington or Foose neither do the car justice, and detract from the overall appearance IMO of course.

Thanks for the photos Ronkh!

I completely agree. It should have the rallie wheels.

Or if he had to do something at least do period cragers or ansens.

I do like the looks of the period correct cragars, rallye wheels, etc. but there's something to be said for the co-mingling of new and old too IMHO. I can respect it either way.

First Detail Fest I have missed. :(

I had something else that I just couldn't miss. Looks like it was better than ever too.

Always next year. :hotrod2:

He was chasing the hostess. :D

He does appear to be posed to take off...notice the hand gripping the chair ready to push/pull it out of his path....

But that begs the question...did he catch her? Was she receptive to his advances?

OT...Pockets might be needing a new screen id/nickname - rarely does anyone catch him with his hands in his pockets anymore. Now it seems he always has food in his hands (ie. 5 guys) or food nearby. And though we have no photographic evidence of it ever taking place -- I don't think you can bowl with even 1 hand in your pocket. :D
