Hi all, I was referred to this forum from BMWM5.com. I love detailing my cars, and am an enthusiast, but need expert advice from you all experts. From what I understand, polish gives the shiine, and wax gives the protection. I want to know, regardless of time and effort ( I am willing to give all the time and effort necessary), what will cleaner will clean and prep the paint the best, and what products will give the best possible shine, and best possible, longest lasting protection???
I currently use Meguiar's Medallion premium paint cleaner, then the #7 show car glaze as the polish for the shine, and then the Medallion Premium Paint protection wax for the protection. From the Meguiar's products, Gold class wax gives better shine than Medallion, but Medallion gives longer and better protection. But thier #7 polish gives the best shine from all their products, even better than Gold class, so if you use # 7 for the shine, then, might as well use Medallion for the protection, as I have never seen anything outlast that, it keeps the water beading on my car for more than 6 months! I usually do the three step process once a year, and reapply #7 and Medallion 2-3 times a year. I want to know your opinions, thoughts, experiences, whether you agree or disagree.
I heard that Pinnacle Soverign gives the most marvelous shine and liquid like glimmer on red and black cars, but doesnt last that long. Could i use this, followed by Medallion Wax for the durable protection?
All I want to know is what is the best combination of products to use for the best possible prep, shine, and long lasting protection, and in how many steps should this be done, and how often each step should be done per year? Thanks alot!!!!! Any input would be greatly appreciated!!!!
