:nixweiss Looks exactly like Zaino (as applied to vehicles) to me. I have both product lines and have used them side by side, btw. Detailer's Pride's Sealant looked like Zaino to me, but isnt as durable.

Personally, I think Werkstatt is the best sealant system available.

For me and because my car is metalic neither DG of JW looks as good as Zaino simply because both darken the paint and mute the metalic. DG 105 with AW really mute the metalic. I think JW PA and AJ or AJT mute but not as much as DG. I find that Z5pro,ZCS and Z8 really bring out the pop in the metalic. As far as durability for me Zaino is still king.

I do however like JW and DG. If I had to choose between the 2 it would be JW for looks and DG for durability.

I got the same results today two weeks after a fresh coat of Z5 Pro/Z8. Beading was terrible on the top surfaces,so I ordered the Ultima kit.

I don't get it.

I did clay the trunk and put ZAIO/Z5 Pro/Z8 back on to see if that helped any.

How is the paint condition, is it smooth? ZAIO/Z5pro/Z8 should bead very tight, small beads when you mist it with a water bottle.

The paint was very smooth after my quick clay job on the trunk yesterday that I spoke of. I did pull quite a bit of contaminants off the trunk,so maybe it's been longer than I thought since I clayed.

There's obviously a lack of bonding or extreme acid rain going on here. Something is up for sure because everyone brags about how indestructible Zaino is.

I don't get the 'mute the flakes' stuff. I really don't. Carnaubas don't even mute the metallic flakes.

Carnauba Moose and hazy sunshine and I still have a plethora of metallic flakes popping on my car.

A plethora?

pleth·o·ra (plthr-)

n.

1. A superabundance; an excess.

2. An excess of blood in the circulatory system or in one organ or area.

I like to use the word myself but others may view the word differently.

Not sure why you don't get it but here goes. When my car is in the extreme sun or hazy sun the paint is darker and the metalic is almost non existant with some products. My red metalic paint is awesome in the sun and really pops out at you with certain products.

The mazda speed metalic paints are incredible with the right products.

FYI when I orderd my JW products they told me not to get the CJ because it will mute the metalic ( their words) .

I'm just saying I personally have never seen anything really mute the metallic in paint, and I have pretty much used everything. :nixweiss

Man, I had some Collinite that was 7 yrs old, but I can't find it. :(

I have some Collinite the is at least 9 year old. Still use it every fall. I have about 80% left in the tin. I'll probably die before I use it up.
